Most of countries I know about police can pull you out without a reason, the problem with US police is them being trigger happy and shooting black dudes for bogus reasons.

When it's against a invader, yes. Not so much when it's the local army. Look at Egypt, Yemen, Libya, Syria, etc.
/r/PussyPassDenied21/10/20 07:09 PM

Your Vietnam vs US is a different scenario. The same can be said about Afghanistan Vs USSR or Algerian Front of Liberation Vs France, etc. Guerilla warfare against invaders is much easier than the army of that country against their people. My opinion is that of the US military wants to be like the SS, they have the means to do it. Yes, AR-15S are a nuisance, but there would be a crackdown eventually. But as things are, it's just impossible to disarm people, it would benefit criminals.

If I lived in the US, I'd totally get a gun, it would level the field for me. But, I live in Europe, the probability to have the need to defend myself against a coup or an armed person is very low.

Totally agree with you realistically. I'm sceptic on its outcome. Countries like Libya and Yemen people had arms, but couldn't do anything against dictators. It's more about the army's allegiance than anything else IMO.
/r/PussyPassDenied21/10/20 06:25 PM
0

Haha, thanks. Loved the tone, even though I disagree with him. I'm pro bearing arms in a country like Switzerland, IMO the US has strong institutions, which makes an Egypt or China scenario far fetched, so there are more cons than pros. But, realistically, you can't disarm people right now, because it will only give an edge to the bad guys who'd get guns anyway. It's either everyone is armed or no one, any in between is bad.

Do you think that hope is worth it? If we compare the benefit of such scenario and the reality of all the crimes cause by weapons and highly level of incarceration in the USA due to bearing arms?

That might have worked like 250 years ago. But, do you think that armed people with AR-15 can do anything against a militarized police and an army with f-35s and Drones? Do they stand a chance? I'm not American and followed the Arab spring closely, the only country that could be stable and get rid of its dictator was Tunisia, because the army sided with people. Egypt, Libya, Syria, Yemen, all went back decades because the military sides with the dictators.

I get what you're saying and I respect your non-bigotry. When I said aggressive it wasn't in a sense of "Bad" but rather they are more ready to be agressive and get physical if they are in a tense situation, unlike Europeans who are more reluctant in the same situation. My experience isn't anecdotal, I grew up in an Arab country, and I live and work in the west since years. Arabs and many eastern people are more reactive a d hot blooded, as much they might seem agressive in difficult situations, …

I don't agree with you on this. Arab men in Arab countries are much agressive than Europeans, because it's more of how they are brought up and how they should be to get in their daily lives. I lived in the two continents, so I know how things are from both perspectives. In Arab counties the state is absent in a sense that many conflicts are settled between the two parts, and guess when things get heated how they are settled. You can come to some fist fights from time to time in a souk and no one…

I'm born in Muslim country and I live in the west, so, I get both sides. I just want to clarify something before commenting. No, in Muslim counties women aren't stoned for a man's word. This isn't even in Isis playbook. It's the fornication that's prohibited by religious laws, for both males and females, which are virtually not enforced in Muslims counties, except few like Saudi Arabia. It's more social. women who cheat are socially-osterized and Slut shamed. The honor killing is some primal tri…

Interesting. I'm Muslim, and I can find the humor in it. Gays exist in Muslim countries, even in Saudi Arabia. For most Muslim countries they aren't killed, though. (Isis was the one that threw them off the roof, but they killed everyone even hard-core extremists who have different political view like the nusra front ). It's treated the same as public indecency, if they found them outside banging, like any hetero couple. For myself, I see it as a sin, like many other acts, and no one is perfect.…

The problem that came with the sexual revolution is that it brought human intimacy more to basic instinct. Pair bonding becomes harder, when one sleep with a lot of people during years, either for men or women. In my culture, even though there's a lot of shitty stuff, this kind of degeneracy isn't wide-spread. So, men tend to look for women with motherly inclination and women look for reliable men.

I would not recommend asking any woman for a good spot. I dealt with many women from different ages, they all tell me that they love when the guy knows his shit and make good plans. I would rather recommend asking her about her interests, or things that are obvious from her appearance, and if you happen to known more about that stuff, recommend a place or an activity. Why people are concerned too much about the words. It's all about the delivery and context. You can pull the best onliner out there, but of it's not congruent with your demeanor and frame, it won't work even if it was Jerry Seinfeld who wrote it to you. Practice is the best way to hone these skills.

It's not always the job in itself,as it is for the way you seem to enjoy it and prosper in it. And women are very smart in detecting that. You can be some brake systems firmware programmer, doing low level C programming, if you seem to enjoy it they'll sense that, just don't talk about details. Just tell her you design brake systems for batmobiles or some funny shit.

It's a feedback loop. OP is right as well as you. I go through this a lot, when I'm in a great mood it reflects on me, even if I'm not in my best appearance. And also when I'm in a nice attire, my confidence just goes up and chicks pick up on that, especially co-workers.

It really depends in your personality. You already said that OP, be confident and congruent. I'm a sarcastic guy, I just can't help it. People love that shit. And get always positive feedback. Even for guys, and in many situations. Heck, even at work, when I intervene in a client site and fix a bug (I'm a programmer), then get asked how I did it, if I joke and tell them 'because I'm a badads' they laugh and like it, but if I explain it, it's just 'meh'. You cannot take everything literally, you should always calibrate. OP is making a good point, but you should spot the negative people taking advantage of you and weed out the manipulative assholes. From my experience, you can win over most of people, but there would be always mean people, why should you give them a second of your attention.

Just spend time with quality people and get busy doing cool stuff. Believe me, losers won't keep up. And be assertive, no one has the right to take your time.

This. happened to me a lot. One thing I always did, and it paid dividends. I always root for the underdog. I do a lot of conventions and travel in my work, each time I spot someone who seems shy or socially awkward, be it an autistic kid with his mom or an old war veteran, I just approach them with a smile and let them experience our products. Sometimes you get the hot girl that asks you while I speak with a student or a kid, I just tell them, with a smile, to wait for few minutes until I'm done…

I work in a tech start-up, all the females we had are just in the soft skills side, and still created drama. They try to hire female programmers since two years, didn't find yet. Even the female co-founder jokes about this. She knows what's up. I managed many male interns, some were cool, others borderline spergs with shitty behavior (once I almost kicked an interns ass as he dismissed my solution when he fucked up at a client's site), but in the end we were always cool.

I understand your point. I'm all with teaching kids to question and get have critical thinking. This being said, it us the adults who should choose the places where our children get the best advice and guidance, then we should teach them discipline and respect for deserved authority. Kids nowadays are way too cuddled, they'd fail in any tough real life experience.

Any one taking posts like this one too seriously and applying them to the letter is an idiot. You always calibrate in your approaches. It really depends on what you enjoy and how social you are. I'll give you my experience and you can extrapolate. - hiking : 20 hiking meet-up is good to meet fit people, who'd gonna spend like 8 hours with. Girls would be sub30 and the older would be seasoned women with great physique. - weekend travels: this one is the best for me. I know the organizers, so it's instant social proof, as most people (around 40 or 50) don't know each other. Females here are usually young professionals or students…

Haven't really figured out a good place to practice game outside of the gym yet The Gym or any place where people are for work is bad for me. The best places are where people are there to mingle. If you work in a field where you meet people use it, otherwise there are other solutions. Go to MeetUp.com, and search for meetups of your interests and hobbies in your area, and if you're in a city, you'll find tons of them. LOL, it's my story, whenever I lend my DSLR camera to my female relatives for family wedding and events. When they give it back, to ask me to post process them on Lightroom, all I find is selfies and these girls with duck faces. But when I take photos it's is always other people in natural setting- I'd zoom on them with a 300mm Lens from afar ,so they aren't aware of you taking photos- or portraits, cakes, etc.

Can you give a couple examples of things you've noticed? I have around 3000 facebook friends, and most of them I knew personally during my studies, work and travels. A lot of guys post photos of their broken arms with captions like : "I cannot workout for 2months " or selfies in the hospital. Others post photos of their dead parents or relatives with messages like "2 years ago, you were with us", etc. Many guys are just attention seeking whores like the girls, the only funny thing compared to gi…

Almost happened to me once! I was walking in an empty street, in the midday summer, sun was like 45°, there was this guy pulling a girl from ger arm in a very jerky quick movements, I was like 20 meters behind.
