Wow. That’s a huge red flag in itself if he is able to “autopilot” himself through a conversation it shows he was never truly actively listening. It’s good you spotted the signs, now you just need to get out. If he has admitted to anger issues in the past, be very careful when breaking things off. Please do not meet up alone with him to have a “final talk”. It could be potentially dangerous.

His words don’t match his actions AT ALL. As someone who had a year long relationship with a narcissist- yes. You are dating one.

I would be wary towards any guy who claims to be your soulmate. A common manipulation tactic NVM use is extreme “mirroring” where they basically become your perfect person. But this is all just an act and you can be surprised how long NVM can keep up the act. Looking to find someone who you’re extremely compatible with is important, but I don’t think there is any good in using the term “soulmate” because you’ll have a higher probability of having rose-colored glasses and brushing off red flags o…

exactly! So many men were blessed with sweet, talented, thoughtful women and then they mess it up by cheating/being an ass

Lol why do guys act like their hugs are God’s gift to earth? Yes, a hug from a boyfriend is nice and comforting, but from someone you hardly know/are just talking to? It makes me gag when guys assume I value/need their hugs. All the guys I’ve encountered who offer their hugs as replacement for actual emotional support or as a way to repay you have been LVM.

My ex wouldn’t even compliment me unless it was to reinforce what he wanted. e.g. he would ONLY compliment me when I was wearing sweats and no makeup. When I was going through a very stressful time, I would tell him how it would be hard to even find the motivation to wash my hair... and he would praise me about it. He was truly manipulative about it all. When I did dress up, or wear the TINIEST amount of makeup (foundation and mascara) he would throw a fit and accuse me of cheating. Not only did…

Yup. had a massively insecure ex who freaked out anytime a guy showed me attention and claimed I was cheating on him. All because I didn’t immediately become a screaming banshee yelling “I HAVE A BOYFRIEND” when an acquaintance or stranger would tell me I looked nice. Turns out he was cheating on me with any girl that showed him attention

My last bf was super aggressive and rude for no reason too. It put me in a lot of awkward positions with my friends and it also caused a lot of arguments with him. He would be like “why didn’t you back me up or stick up for me” when one of my friends eventually called him out. I eventually just stopped inviting him when I hung out with my friends (mostly because they explicitly told me not to bring him) Luckily my friends all forgave me when we broke up.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
