Bro, she just wanted you to cut your fingernails. That's basic hygiene. Just imagine how this looks on the outside. Girl asks you to cut your fingernails You start ignoring her and doing other things to "bring the focus back on you" If I were the girl that was with you, I would be really confused. I would likely figure out that I made you angry somehow and then get angry that you got angry over something so trivial.

Girls really arent that different from you and me. I mean guys and girls have their differences but when you spend enough time with them you start to realise it's all common sense. You start to understand that they are actually just human after all. My protip would be to take up a hobby in which there is a decent concentration of girls. Best not to go 100% because it's lame sometimes to be the only guy but I'd say 50-60% is a good mix. Dancing is really nice for this and is a great life skill to…

This is the primary example of why looks are only really 33% of the way there. I'm not saying all hot girls are shallow because there are plenty of good looking girls with personalities to match. It's just something I think guys need to keep in mind not to let themselves get too infatuated when they havent gotten to know her yet. You sound like a cool guy with a wide spread of interests, theres no reason why you should settle for her. Even if you do eventually fuck, how will you feel about it af…

here is no doubt in my mind that millions of women are sexually drawn to the powerful and seemingly psychotic main character, Christian Grey. Thats because he is psychotic. I'm not going to knock on what the article says. I suppose he knows what to do when it comes to seduction. Still though, christian grey pulls a lot of abusive shit. If you think of all the ways manipulative and abusive people operate you'll find a lot of parallels in christian grey. (This is why its gotten such bad press.) He…

Yeah, playing hard to get doesn't really work out. Even when it does work, it works for all the wrong reasons. Move on, you've missed your chance here. Better wait for the next one.

In a lot of ways, yes. But that's also overly simplified advice and sometimes things are more complex than that. Sometimes it's not about growing a pair but how and why you grow a pair.

research that shows that intelligence is strongly negatively correlated with reproductive success Never heard of this before. Care to elaborate? I'm sceptical but I don't want to discuss. I just want to read the papers and hear what you have to say about it. :) EDIT: The paper states a correlation between IQ and negative fertility rates. Though it also says that they are not sure as to why this is and more research is required. There's nothing conclusive here. The most obvious guess (that the pa…

Trying to defend my ego I've lost a couple of good job opportunities, my place in the cricket team (I'm good at most hand-eye coordination based sports. Yeah fuels my ego even more). So I'm fine with losing women for my ego. Do you even listen to yourself? Nevermind morality and being able to function with people. (This is still important.) You've given away opportunities in order for this self sustaining self destruction. Or who knows there could be a version of game that I can do without chang…

He has a gut and he's overweight but his body type is somehow very forgiving with all of his 250 lbs he carries on his 6'0 frame. most of the girls he been with (recreational sex, nothing more, he never dates anyone) were...I don't want to sound disrespectful to him, but way out of his league. Maybe not way way way out, but definitely the type of girls you would notice on a night out, while he's a regular semi-chubby jeans and a shirt or a hoodie type of dude next door. my basic error which was down to not mentally preparing for every possible scenario. How is this an error? You know why you didn't prepare for every possible scenario? It's because you can't. Even if you did, the best strategy is to just play it by ear. Give yourself a break already, it's not always your fault. I just couldn't think up a good opener in that situation You were way past openers... She was grinding on you so grind back? How it should have started... taps on shoulder..."Do you grind…

perfect in every way for me she's so amazing. one of the most amazing and beautiful girls I've ever seen She might be right in some ways but don't kid yourself into thinking she's perfect even if just for you. Her farts still smell and has terrible shits after a curry. There's a saying that if you dont think a person is flawed in some way, then you don't know anything about them yet. Just saying, stop obsessing over her. It's pathetic and your construct of her is so far from reality.

Yes, there is still a possibility she would say no. It would be much reduced but you can never eliminate it. Think about it, what does handsome even mean? It's so subjective and what varies from person to person. This variance means that you'll always find someone who isn't into you. Consider as well how your tastes for the opposite sex vary through your life. What you used to be sexy probably isn't now and vice versa. Women are known to find different characteristics of men attractive depending…

I don't think small talk is meaningless. It might not have any long term consequences but the alternative is constant deep talk which is pretty exhausting. Small talk is a way to connect with people and can be really relaxing I find. I think it's these thoughts which make the difference. Small talk is severely underestimated.

I know this isn't relevant but in the uk, especially in Scotland, the weather is a valid topic. It is always changing or doing crazy things, you can't help but talk about it. Just today I spoke to a friend about the sudden flurry we had last week. I was in a meeting saying how it was nice that spring spring started with the sun being up past 6 and then the flurry hit, it made me rage so hard. Small talk is really just you guys taking turns to talk about yourself. A lot of the times people don't do small talk very well for whatever the reason. Since its a 2-way road you won't be able to have a conversation with someone who isn't giving anything back.

I think you've got the right idea, you just need to try it on a girl who is interested. Also, if you get that she's disinterested then do t try and push the issue. It doesn't work and it just makes shit awkward.

I think you're being too hard on yourself. She said she had dates, this should have regestered that maybe she wasn't as invested in you. Also, this isn't oneitis. Oneitis would be if you were still going after her after this weekend. You're readjusting and going for something different. This is just right. You're doing fine. :)

The first rule about good strategy is that while premeditated action and thought are essential, no plan is 100% set in stone. You must always change based on the situation. This means that good strategy is just as much an improvised and serendipitous as it is calculated. With this in mind you might start to see your problem. You overthink and you forget how to think on the spot. Keep relaxed and you're already half way there. If you imagine a game of chess, you can't calculate the whole game apr…

Right, I'm in a relationship as well with some thanks to seddit. It's going quite well. (1 year in) Getting a gf is just the first step. Keeping her is the tough part. I'm going to make this pretty detailed because I feel like the other comments are a bit vague. Like "constantly seduce her". Let's be realistic here, you cant seduce her like before. Let her message like 4-5 times... And just reply later with 1 short msg. I hear what you are saying but this shits a bit extreme don't you think? I'd say a 1:1 ratio sounds good. It's not needy at least. If you are needy then it'll show in your texting anyway, texting once every 5 messages wont change that.

This is like asking if it is an indicator of disinterest if you're comfortable having your shirt off when you talk to her. It's like the chick in the other comment says, it's complicated. I think she's missing a small nuance here because she's focused on the question. (Nothing wrong with that, I just want to add something new.) Self confidence is something which waxes and wanes over time. Don't worry too much about it. What's more is that you notice the pattern so you can do something about it. What's more is that it's like a muscle, the more you use it the stronger it gets. Just because you might be a little out of practice doesn't mean you cant get back into it again. :)

The trick is not to spread yourself too thin. If you meet too many people then you keep no one. I did the same thing in my first year at uni. Meeting people of great but choosing the friends you want to keep is harder. You have to spend time with people who you want to hang with. Just ask them to do something with you sometime.

Don't make a big deal out of it. If you act like its a huge flaw in your character then she'll see it that way. If you say it like its a matter of fact and there's no problem she'll likely see it that way as well. You are the best authority on yourself so if you act like its a problem then it probably is. Don't let it get to you and she wont care either if she's worth having. If she cares then toss her, you don't need bitches like that.

In terms of being fuck buddies it's not a big deal. In terms of forming relationships you don't need a 100% overlap of interests. However, if you have 0% overlap it's a pretty good indicator that you're not right for each other. It's good to have common ground because it makes conversation easier and it makes an activity which you can do together. Seduction aside, this is what a lot of friendships are based on. So really you should thank these girls because they were doing you a favor. Even if i…

This is like asking if a guy has his arms crossed then is he closed off and unreceptive to what you say? In some cases, yes. However, he could just be cold or could be crossing his arms for other reasons... The thing about body language is that you can't just take a single microgesture in isolation and extrapolate things from it. You need a cluster of these and see what it all looks like when you put it together. So, like I said above. Yes, her body position relative to yours could indicate inte…

I think that it's important to understand that a lot of seddit's positions and teachings are aimed at beginners. This means that a lot of the advice that you'll see people give is oversimplified. This is fine and is completely nececary for the ends of teaching. It's up to the individual to learn why so many things are over simplified and to develop their understanding of seduction. However, once you reach a level where you can think for yourself it's probably best to do so. If you think that you…

I think there's a "slippery slope" sort of fallacy surrounding alcohol, by that I mean that people assume that just because one makes use of it that suddenly they'll become reliant on it when it's not necessarily the case. It might be for some people, but that's for each individual to decide.
/r/seduction26/02/15 06:37 PM

I understand that you're saying that PUAs discourage alcohol because it's not always possible to have it on hand, but I think that's missing the point of OP's post. He is saying that he's wieghed the pros and cons and he thinks that it's still of use even when the cons are considered and that it's not as bad as PUAs say it is.

In that circumstance it was more the joking about a sensitive subject without the proper social rapport built for it. At it's core he made a social mistake. For someone who says that I should dumb it down, you're the one who is thinking about it in a complicated sort of way by the way you talk about it. I don't know. Rejections are disheartening but, as you know, you're just a bit unlucky at the moment. There is always failure before there is improvement. Always remember that the rejections you have faced are proof of your improvement even if it doesn't seem like it. Remember, a master has failed more times than the novice has even tried. Just keep trying, keep thinking what you can do better and you'll get there.

I thought that the sex would be at least four times better than a normal masterbation session. I was wrong. Well... Not totally wrong. If you have the right person and it's not your first time (i.e. you have some experience) then it's really quite good. If you have the wrong person and youre a little new to it then yes, it's not that great. It's fine, it'll come in time. Personally if a girl had a lot of options and didnt consider me a potential candidate after interacting with her I would just move on. The key word here is "interacting". I think that the largest reason why "text game" is so ignored on this subreddit is because it's focused on seduction and since you cant really seduce someone without human contact people just assume that texting is irrelevant and just leave it. You should try not to take her actions personally. This is difficult because these situations make you vulnerable. Still though, you need to remember that it's not a reflection on who you are. Some people are so blinded with trying to pick up women that they'll do it at whatever the means. There are plenty of good women around who are single and this will always be so. Men sometimes become so obsessed with finding women in order to satisfy their needs that they forget what it's all for. Though to be fair, it takes two to tango. Women can give decent advice from time to time. This is all I am really saying. I am not saying that women are great authorities but at the end of the day they do say worthwhile things sometimes and if we spend our days thinking about them as simple fish then we will forever forget the finer points of their humanity. At least someone else got it out there, so thanks.

I know that some other people have made comments saying what they think differently and have gotten downvoted to the floor and that everyone pretty much agrees with this statement and so its been upvoted sky high. Personally I think thats because this statement is so deeply ingraned in seddit culture to the point where questioning it will cause one to be shunned. It's really closed minded to be honest. That being said, I am still going to say my thoughts because I think this is something that we…

I think you're overthinking this. The problem with texting is that a lot of social ques are lost through the medium. Emoticons and such are there to help make it more natural. The bigger point is to use all these tools properly otherwise you sound like a teenager. Also, sitcoms use the laughing because it makes people laugh. It's effective and has a purpose whether you like it or not.

"Hi, I don't think we've met, I'm Phenxz" Whats canned about it? It's one of the most natural ways to start a conversation ever. Perhaps its a little simple but it gets the job done. I am just saying that openers are better or worse depending on who you are and what situation you are in. It's more natural if you learn to come up with things on the spot. The best thing to do I think is to comment on something in the environment because then it's relevant and it doesnt look like you are "opening",…

I'm sure most people on this subreddit know that openers only work when they are more on the spot instead of premeditated ones. Hence, I don't think this list is helpful.

Completely agree with you OP. There are certain techniques and theories on this sub reedit which are not helpful to know about. Negging is one of them for sure. Light teasing is only really acceptable when you know the person enough to know that you are joking. That being said, it's still a risky move that doesn't always go well. Even people who you know well may get offended. If it's that risky with someone you know then it should be completely out of the question for someone you just met. What…

Her flaws aren't the things you love about her, flaws are the things which annoy you, if that makes sense. You can't love everything about a person. There are a couple of points that I think you are missing. Firstly that your brain will only go back into the pattern if that is your pattern to begin with. Not all feelings of affection are a sign of oneitis, so don't try too hard to curb it. Feeling attraction is normal for you as well. The problem with oneitis sources more from a lack of touch from reality. As in, you make her more than she really is and set her against standard she can't really keep up with. It also happens when guys don't t…

I don't think confidence is about knowing what you want and knowing how to get it, that is being decisive. Confident people are decisive but there's a lot more to it. Confidence is also about acknowledging your mistakes, knowing that you are "worth it"and knowing how to handle situations even when the answer isn't clear. That being said, you advice is tried and true. It might help to build confidence but it's not exactly a lesson in self confidence.

The thing to remember is that most of the properties of the sort of guy Manson puts forward often come from having high self esteem and low neediness. This is key because if you gain these aspects then a lot of it follows. Don't try to memorize all advice in the book, learn to understand the thinking behind it and you'll find yourself acting much smoother and sexier. It's not that weird if an analogy because that's literally what happens. Just because you are bad at something now doesn't mean you will always be bad at it. It's possible that once you work on your weaknesses then you start to improve and your weaknesses change. It's not that it's maxed out as much as stronger relative to your other skills. I think this article could have been written better. In essence, the article says that while confidence is important, it's also important to have good technique through experience and practice. While that might be true I think he tries a little too hard to drive the message home and makes a couple of wrong turns in his argument. At the center of the author's argument was this quote: When I had true confidence, no technique was needed. I think he misunderstood. What this person is saying is not "…

Ive noticed that men "scale" very well with age. (For lack of a nongamer term.) Because I notice opportunities with younger girls more and more and it's not going away any time soon. I can see this lasting up until when you are even 50 when you have this nice aged/mature sort of feel. Personally I cant wait for that if I am still a bachelor by then lol. Dude, 24? Not even half way to 50. Youre not that old. You have plenty of time to get to grips with it. No problem. :)

How many fucking times in that book does he say "studies show" or "a group of scientists found...", without ever giving and sources. Yeah but how different is that to preaching about social interactions just from biased personal experience like other PUAs? Its not like any of them are social scientists. I never take these kinds of things too seriously and I check it out with what I know about reality with my experience/logic.

"fallacy" (they totally are) all he said is "exaggerate differences" Exaggerating a difference is not a fallacy. One overstates the the "distance" of relation between two things. A fallacy is when you make an error in logic. Exaggerating a difference doesn't intrinsically require errors in logic, it depends on the situation. In this instance he just tries to distance himself from other PUAs. It's not like he's intentionally implied false logic somewhere in the book except for the purposes of hel…

I'm not sure if it would be helpful because I don't know what women need to focus on apart self improvement and other general self esteem stuff. I mean most of this stuff is directed at men because it's men who are the "rate determining step" when it comes to these kinds of things. All a girl has to do is choose right? All you really need to do is show that you are interested and stuff like that. The rest is just social skills and self esteem. I'm sorry, I really don't know :/

I do not think it should be sidebared because newbies will read it with no counter opinions in there head To be fair, newbies don't need counter opinions and I'll explain why. Imagine you were trying to learn a new skill like music. You learn about the scale and about chords and keys and the like. You learn that certain notes sound good together and other don't. This guy does a really good video explaining it. The problem with objectification is not thinking that someone is sexy or has certain qualities. The problem is seeing someone as sexy and then using that sexiness without seeing that that person is an end in and of themselves. (Sorry for the ethics lingo, that's the most accurate way to describe it.) For instance, as the guy in the video says, thinking someone is sexy isnt so bad, it's natural even. First of all, yes guys and girls operate differently and I acknowledge that. It's a difficult position to defend, saying that women and men operate in EXACTLY the same way because we don't. Theres already a bias in that experiment in that it's in a bar. Setting plays a large role in how people react to things. Also, the sample size would be rather small and if it was only done in one bar then it would be specific to the type of people who go that bar.
