Ueah that's what I was getting at. Not just keep on trying, but change.

Wow, great quote. Just two little problems with it: a) true, but that does not mean just because you keep on trying that you will ultimately succeed. b)it still does not tell us wether what one does is a good thing. Some of the worst things have been accomplished by keeping on trying. Maybe you are supposed to fail because what you do is simply weird narcissistic robot-like behavior.

Unpopular opinion: I have the feeling that most of the RSD material is not really designed to really help you pick up women. Yes, they throw some tips at you, but ultimately what you have is a bunch of attractive guys improvising about various topics. This is also why so much of their material is ridiculously inconsistent. Sometimes they basically tell you "be a caveman", sometimes they get all buddhist monk and tell you to "leave your self behind". No one of us is going to learn seduction from …

I have a similar problem. When approaching a girl during the day I always believe that she believes that my only intention is to get her laid or that I am crazy for talking to random people (the city I live in is very introverted). What makes it worse is that I have met a (maybe schizophrenic) guy who continuously "tried to enrich his social sphere" by talking to people. This meant he just kept randomly talking to people, uaware of how strange his behavior was.

I don't really get how a fuckup-friday like this would help me get over rejection… After all if you go over to a girl, behave like a prick and she rejects you, she is not really rejecting you, but some role you were playing for a minute. I can and did say awful things to people just for fun (even before I ever learned about seddit) and got "rejected" for this behavior. But that never helped me get over fear of rejection when I was showing my real self. I imagine the exercise being more helpful i…

Chicks dig skills is true. A better formulation would be chicks dig competence. If a man is both competent in some specific domains (your work and your hobbies) it's attractive because he can easily climb the social hierarchies in these domains. It's even more attractive to also be competent at life in general (socializing, knowing what you want, confidence,...) because this will make you able to climb social hierarchies in all kinds of domains. I'm not claiming that competence at life will enab…

It's been some time since I last read that book, but this is what I got from it: (might be contaminated by years of different advice and thoughts reinterpreting his source material) Vulnerability is less about sharing intimate and embarrassing details about your life with people. I believe it is more about not being shameful about your actions, not fearing negative judgement by other people. Instead be truthful about your actions. This can but does not have to include sharing intimate details ab…

The photos are okay. My thoughts while reading your article: You base your article on the "simple observation" that women are more dependant on men for well-being than men on women. I'd actually say that it's the other way around. What are your reasons for believing this in the first place? Also I feel like you kind of overestimate feminism's threat when you write that it is demolishing our society. Yes, they do try to tear down society through a misguided ideology, however they have merely begu…

I had a similar problem. I like to call this the dark side of pickup, when people get possessed by the mask they wear in public and end up even more insecure than before. The most important thing to remember about the alpha/beta distinction is that it is complete bullshit and an oversimplification. It might be useful to use the simplification in certain contexts, but in the end it amounts to a trivialization. If you use it as the central paradigm and the lens through which you view the world you…

I agree. Also I don't think we should take advice from someone who summarizes his claims by captioning a blurry picture that looks like a second-rate metal cover.

I have the same problem. For me this not only applies to self-image but also to how I perceive the world in general. On some days everything is exciting and even the most boring people are interesting and funny to me, on other days the world is dull and not even the things and people I truly care about seem enticing. I think this is not a personal problem. It almost certainly applies to everyone. On some days we just feel like shit. When you feel awkward you are conscious of yourself as a thing …
