Yeah I get it; I'm not saying I hated the article. Just trying to tell you what that one felt like to me.

I liked most of it except the Mind Scramblers. I'm afraid that with the examples you showed, that comes across as a little too self-involved. That said, if a woman can see past that for a little bit, then bringing that up in an in-person conversation would bring some extra brownie points back to you.

As someone who echos OP's sentiment, your answer makes me feel better about doing this. Thank you.

You're totally; I was just pointing out how it feels to me but I think I need to get out of my comfort zone on this one. Thanks.

I hardly deserve any compliments for that but thanks.

This seems too forward but I guess this is what this subreddit is about. About the task, could it be just something mundane or should be it a bit more out there?

No it's not that. They both made the plans. I was telling them about how I made pineapple bread and they both were like, "Ooh, we wanna try."

I second the meetup.com advice. I moved to a new town after college and didn't make any friends for the first few months. Work people were boring and all they could talk about was how work sucked etc. All my close friends now are actually people I met on meetup.com.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
