I am not surprised of this move in the healthcare industry. Guys can lose everything including long careers over unfounded and false allegations. It is a step in the right direction to legally protect male physicians.

Has nothing to do with any damn pill - it is about who you are as a person. Your social life is dependent on who you are, your views, and how you interact with others.

Then, great - I see no problem. Your only real obstacle is finding said woman to take you on your offer who is fine with that arrangement. I figure if you earn enough to bankroll a household by being an artist and drawing pictures then the lady should have no issue doing her thing if that works out for the both of you.

It isn't a thesis, it is a view. Go and tell a bunch of women and say you want to be a house husband and see how it works out. Wanting to be a house husband isn't wrong - you can do what you want - all it'll take is to find a woman who is fine with what you want. I am sure she is out there somewhere. If your view is as strong as your understanding that what you say is true and not really whacked out then you'll have women coming at you who just can't wait to take you up on your offer. Thing is, …

Sounds delusional if you ask me to change how an entire society practices roles and just drop it according to an ideology. Sure, things have become less defined over time but you still have to work out who needs to do what with your partner depending on household revenue to be realistic. I subscribe to carrying your own weight in the marriage and working on a plan according to consensus. As far as a fantasy of being a house husband - dunno if it is a fantasy as it is much more of a consequence o…

I agree. You can't change what women normally do.

Nope. I still had girlfriends when I had no car. I rode a bike through all of undergrad. A K-Mart orange leopard print Huffy at that. Didn't own a car till I worked and lived at home to save money during that time. Still dated. So by my own logic, I was no different from you. My point is, if you can't be confident about having no car and living at home then find something of substance to be confident about instead of honing in on something to use as an excuse on top of another excuse. I can't co…

Well, confidence has to have substance behind it otherwise you're just plain lying. You can't reasonably be confident when you are broke, living at home in a basement because when enough digging is done...there ain't really anything to be confident about when you don't have much going for you. What I am saying is this: you have to be squared away as a person AND confident because of it. Eitherway, sounds like you have stuff figured out on what is realistic or not.

I can tell if someone has or is having a bad day when I encounter them but I neither care or have the time/desire to contemplate what someone is feeling or thinking 24/7.

"This one girl had a crush on me who was a cheerleader and from what rumor suggests she was sleeping around alot it was flattering that she liked me and she was cute and all and had a wonderful personality but I really did not feel like adding myself to her pool of men." Sure. Been there. A woman even told me "We are both adults and I am interested in you" not knowing I had done my homework on her, establishing what was happening before she ever got to that point. I said no thank you and held fi…

"...where does everyone get this idea that romantic opportunity comes as a side effect from being happy with oneself?" It is a vibe. If a person- a healthy, sane, confident woman - sees someone who is confident in themselves then that confidence will usually be attractive. In contrast, if they gravitate towards negativity then there is something there that may not be worth your time and effort. Key idea is to find someone that vibes with you.

I agree. No one wants to be last but think about it this way: would you rather be last because you've been real with women or be first but end up lying to get women? I'd rather be real and have a woman decide to accept me for who I am rather than be fake about it. On top of that you gotta be happy with yourself and the ladies - the ones worth your time - will come around.

If you're depressed, talk to a therapist. When you start talking suicide over lack of "girl-experience" you got bigger problems at hand, bro.

Yeah it is. Same as saying "Carry on with what you are doing." Just happens to be an answer you don't like.

What do I know? I am a nobody. Go keep on doing what you are doing. I am sure you are doing a bang up job evading the hordes of ladies chasing you down. Good luck.

Not at all - most men who was truthful with himself in dealing with women are happy and confident and happy in their own skin. If one can't honor the truthful with yourself part then you are better off either looking for someone else or peace out of dating. Well, yes, if you want romantic opportunity you will have to get it. Unless YOU are some famous actor or rich guy, not many women will probably give two shits about the regular guy enough to swarm around them. However, my point is you shouldn…

Thing is, there is probably a poor, short, awkward guy in the boonies getting more ass than most on this sub. "So do you admit that a lot of our dating culture is chopped up to a bunch of social norms and behaviors that don't make sense if we do it anyway?" Well, yeah, and most do it. Men know it and women know it. That "norm" is the clincher for most until they say - fuck, that - and have women going to them because they make it clear that they are confident and happy and okay in their own skin…

Not unfair. If people want to get over it, they will and they can if there is a way. Everyone has baggage but it is a choice for me to decide if I want my baggage weighed down by someone else's baggage that they can't handle for whatever reason. I am forthcoming with my baggage. handling your baggage is a choice, just like it is a choice for me to engage a woman that has baggage. I don't think it is arrogant to say it is unattractive when you are honest about what you bring to the table and then…

People hide shit, that is life. It is a turn off. I avoid people with baggage that rivals a Samsonite outlet store. Life is too short to carry your own stuff through life AND someone else's mental stuff if they can't mentally hack it. Lots of women have issues so avoid those that have excessive issues.

People's mileage vary with dating so what works for me, may not work for you. I am a big nerd but I also don't push nerdy knowledge on people, especially women. Why should I? Sexual or romantic opportunity may not have anything to do with my nerdiness, or it could. It depends on what I read a woman is into. I will say this though: there is nothing attractive about depression. Unless you are Leonardo DiCaprio or something like that, women usually don't come swooning lol.

It isn't really nuanced because either the weirdness or awkwardness suits both of you or not enough to get together. Sometimes women dig it when the guy can't keep enough composure to show obvious excitement so you'll have to find a lady that suits exactly who you are as a person. Maybe it is because I am not in my 20s anymore but I stopped putting stock on crushes. Either I go out with a lady or not so then I move on to the next. There is no sense in putting effort and energy towards a woman wh…

College for me was okay. I worked full time and had less time to socialize than most. Shit gets better after you get out. Develop a better sense of being you and know your worth and who you are as a person. Oh yeah - stop worrying about what others think. Pity party invites should be turned down. No sense socializing people that you don't vibe with. Be ruthless with your time and surround yourself with people YOU are happy with...life is too damn short to be chasing people you don't like and try…

Women are human so, yes, they will have crazy and over-the-top insecurities. If all you have is looks and you say you are handsome and good looking but nothing goes further then the logical next step is, what is it about you and who you are that can't close the deal? There is no level to attain because all dating is...is ultimately a numbers game. You are playing the odds to attain acceptance on the basis of who you are as a person. That is it. Seen many good looking people -men and women- that …
