Ah. Mama's boys. My blind spot. I'm holding off on dating, till I am confident not to fall into this trap again. I'll never share my partner with his family/mother again. I don't understand how women are taught to be independent and do absolutely everything on their own. Yet, some men display infantile behaviour because their mothers prefer them that way.

It's really sad. My mum watches these Indian drama's where that's the crux of the show: mother-in-law and daughter issues. The men are seen as emotional pawns in a game.

I saw this post, decided to read and regretted it immediately. It saddens me that women are treated this way and it's not seen as abuse.

Any man that can't talk about sex is a huge red flag to me. Communication is essential before sex, during sex and after sex. If you can't talk to me about what you like, how am I supposed to know how to pleasure you? I am rather frank about sex and my pleasure. I am also able to vocalise what I enjoy and don't enjoy during the act. Life is way too short to be having bad sex.

I'm always thankful for FDS for this point. When my ex LVM and I were in the midst of ending things,I didn't type out a paragraph saying 'Please stay with me' or 'Let's try to fix it'. Instead I deleted everything that had to with him, pictures, videos, chat conversations, blocked him on social media whilst that conversation was happening. It ended with me being in control, rather than me, bending over to accommodate him or lose any remaining self dignity. Even though it hurt to do that at the t…

Yes, yes, yes, yes! I don't tolerate that. Especially being from a south Asian heritage, where females are constantly judged. I've stopped talking to alot of my "male friends" when they would do this. There would be a lot of butt hurt if we did this to men.

Totally agree. I used to have like 3 male friends. However, since I stopped looking past sexist jokes, innuendos, or just plain crass. I've realised that they aren't really my friends. I've just tolerated them. Now, I don't have any male friends. Plus, I'm happier that way.

So, after waiting 3 months, I finally got an outstanding document that I needed for my work visa. Hoping to get done with application and leave my home country! I've been stuck in my home country for over a year due to Covid-19. Starting to feel excited about a new start in a new country.

I've been reading 'How to spot a dangerous man before you get involved' by Sandra L Brown. It's been utterly mind blowing. I've realised that I have a history of mama boys. I need to choose better. I deserve more. They are dangerous in ways that you didn't even realise.

I haven't caved and messaged my ex lvm, like I would have in the past. Each time I get an urge to reach out to him, I read posts on here.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
