I can just mention a few things: Mrs. Obama delivered a finger-wag about what a man really is when she described her MS-stricken father as still going out to work so she could be sent to college. I.e., a real man ignores his health and well-being so his daughter can work later to curb the educational and other opportunities of people like him (i.e., men).
Constant rebukes regarding abortion, with the NARAL president saying people without knowledge of what it's like to have a woman's body shouldn't be making any decisions about it (implication: male lawmakers should have no say in laws around abortion). No mention of course about the fact that maybe, just maybe, men should also have reproductive rights too. Not a peep from either Dems or Reps. Dare I dream?
And of course, the wage gap myth was trotted out repeatedly by multiple speakers.
Until now I have been reluctant to go along with the suggestion that the Democrat party has in essence become "the feminist party". That is because political parties go through phases, like fads, and just because a party veers this or that way for a few years doesn't mean it has assuredly changed course for the foreseeable future. But after tonight, I see the time has come for me to change my opinion.
The GOP can hardly be considered, however, a "men's party", by any means. Clearly they are substantially less hostile to men ideologically but as for support or acknowledgement of men's/fathers' issues, they are still not there. So guys, no news here: we're still on our own.
