'A 78-year-old Lynnwood woman has been charged with second-degree assault after she allegedly beat the tar out of her 84-year-old husband because she believed he was unfaithful, the Everett Herald is reporting.
The woman allegedly hit her husband with a bowl, a metal pipe and a carpet sweeper, which she documented in her diary.
"I beat him again," the woman wrote in the diary, which was recovered by police. "I told him it would be worth going to jail just to watch him bleed to death," she wrote.
A witness told police the woman believed her husband had an affair 35 years ago, according to court documents.'
