A while ago, before I took the red pill there was a woman at the place I worked that was in a place of power.  This is not a post about a woman abusing power, no, this is about what she did wrong in her relationships, and how she undermined her own authority, for basically the same reasons.

She was deeply religious.  Religious to a flaw.  She took the idea of selfless love to heart and suffered the consequences of it.

When she would get in disagreements with other people, she would invariably send the person she disagreed with flowers.

Even when she was right.

She could not see how this completely undermined her authority and the respect she lost from the men and women when she did this.  Even before taking the red pill, I saw this as a huge mistake.

She would pray over every major decision, she would take forever to make a decision and would waffle when given too much conflicting information.  She wanted to do what was right, and was so obsessed with it, that it undermined her further.

Her husband started cheating.

There are levels to how bad cheating is.

You think all cheating is wrong.  Fine.  If you think it’s ok for a woman to cheat (as our culture is saying because she is “unfullfilled”) and yet its bad for a man to cheat because it shows his immaturity, then you’re more of a sexist than I am.

There is discrete cheating (to be European about it) and then there is contemptuous cheating.  Cheating and flaunting it because you hate the other person, or have so little respect for your spouse that you want to drive the knife in deeper. (women tend to do this more than men).

Contemptuous cheating is far, far worse.  It’s nasty and cruel.

This is what her husband did.

There were rumors that they went on a trip to Asia and her husband had his girlfriend join them.

He was so blatant about it that everyone knew what he was doing.

What did she do?  She prayed and tried to be understanding and love him completely.  I didn’t feel sorry for her at this point, I felt disgusted. (we can talk about game concepts all day long about why this is)

What little respect people had for the woman vanished.  It cost her job and eventually, after years of tormenting her, the man finally divorced her.  But the damage went deeper than that.

Even her children lost all respect for her.

People will say that everyone needs to work out things for themselves.

The church will often encourage people to “work it out” that their vows were better or worse, or for the children you should stay together.  This is horrible advice.  Even the children of this woman disliked their mom for doing that.

No.

If your spouse is cheating and is rubbing your face in it, have some dignity.  Have some sense of self-worth.

Walk away from them and never look back.
