There are two kinds of cynics.
The obvious one, the one people frown upon, is the one that points out the way the world really is. They often get poo-pooed by others and told to lighten up.
Why not be happy?
The secret to these cynics?
They are idealists at heart. They are purists. The believe in principles more than other people.
They are broken hearted.
It would be a good thing if our leaders all had one of these cynics as an advisor, but because they are the other type of cynic, they will not.
What is the other type of cynic? They are the dangerous cynic. The cynic that does not show his colors through his words, but his actions.
When he speaks, pretty lies will fall from his lips, not because he believes them, but because he wants you to believe them.
This cynic will decry the loudest the other type of cynic for being negative, for being to hard on people, for not being open to reality.
All they while he is literally and figuratively fucking everyone around him.
The dangerous cynic is the one that sees the truth and uses it to his advantage.
