This man describes more eloquently than I did that there are only three types of traits men need to worry about: Omega traits, Alpha Traits and Beta traits.
Omega traits are those that repulse women
Beta traits are the ones that neither repulse of attract.
Alpha traits are ones that attract women.
Now before people get retarded (and since we now have a campaign to rid the world of that word, I will now use that word for stupid, foolishness, ignorant, poor reading comprehension, low IQ and anything else I think it fits) the important thing is that they are traits and not fucking categories.
Men and especially smart men want to fit everyone and everything into a category because that’s what God did when he had Adam name all the animals.
What amuses me to no end is men asking Vox what category they fit into, because in their little hearts they all want to be Sigmas. Alpha in Vox land has merely been transformed to Sigma.
Sigmas Alphas (greater and lesser) don’t care about what category they fall into, and they don’t go asking another man what category they fall into either. Secondly, Deltas Betas (Greater, lesser and everything in between)all know what they are when they learn about game. Gammas Renfields don’t think the categories mean anything or reject them completely. Lamdas Gays . . . do we really need a category for men that are not in the male female sexual market place?
That leaves Omegas. It is Omegas that want to be Sigmas that ask where they fall in another man’s hierarchy. If you were Sigma Alpha you wouldn’t ask.
The reality is that men all have attractive traits, they all have repulsive ones, and they all have neutral ones. It is learning to be more attractive (more alpha) that’s important and less Omega.
Do any of these categories help men in anyway? Further their understanding of the world? Further their way forward with the other sex, or with men?
The answer is obvious.
No.
It is like saying someone did something by “instinct.”
The word sounds cool, but what does it really mean? Does your understanding of the situation improve with the use of that word anymore than if I substitute one and say someone did something by “gut feel” or because “it felt right” or their “subconscious” made them or because they were “drawn to it by a higher power.”
Labels make people think they know something, when in fact they often get in the way of knowing, and they know actually nothing new because of the label.
Quit trying to put people in a box. It isn’t that static, unless women have their way and then it would be set in stone, like some fucked up Mote in God’s Eye by Niven (which recognized the fluid nature of male hierarchies). Successful Human social progress depends on that fluidity (it could be argued that a strong caste system is more durable, but then anything at the bottom is durable in the way that Ape society is more durable since it remains the same)
The Sensai in the Dojo is the Alpha there, in the Courtroom its either a judge or a lawyer, at the hospital, its the head doc. On the street its the last man standing. The Sensai at the hospital is not going to be the alpha, the lawyer on the street is not going to be the alpha.
Why do people want things to be so complicated?
It is the folly of intelligent men to make things more complicated than they are. Thus have the less mentally endowed men been better able to Game women.
It is somehow an affront to smart men’s intelligence that things are simple and so things are made complex.
The beauty of true genius is that it makes something that was not understood and makes it easily understood.
The curse of frustrated intelligence is that it makes something understandable into something more difficult to comprehend, the outlet for this used to be poetry.
