The last time female sexuality was unleashed, the greatest empire on the earth collapsed.

Life became brutal and short.

Poverty was a way of life.

The dark ages.

As humanity rejected the debauchery of Rome, it had something new to cling to: Christianity and its moral and sexual priggishness.

Normally when human behavior goes too far one way, the inevitable reaction is to go very far in the other direction.

Marriage, the sanctity of the home, monogamy was the reaction the last time.

This time Christianity is part of the problem.

There will be those that turn to Christianity when the collapse comes, I do not discount that.  There will be those that see the collapse as God’s displeasure with the sexuality of humanity, but Christianity is rotting, it embraced the “women as paragon and men as devils” meme for too long.  Any society that does not recognize the true nature of men and women is doomed, and Christianity is ultimately doomed.

What then will men turn to?  I specifically made that gender specific.  In a complete collapse, what the women turn to is going to be wholly irrelevant.

It will not be Christianity.

Islam?  Perhaps.

More likely though, I see a culture coming where there is no such thing as marriage, where women are not afforded that luxury.

The only counter to that, is the romanticism of men.

There is still a romantic streak among men that looks back on what they think marriage was a hundred years ago and see this as some kind of paradise.  I suppose if paradise is stable, then it has that in common with paradise, but slavery is stable, a cage is stable.  As if the relationships between the sexes has been one of beauty and harmony, until the evils of feminism took root.

Just because women conformed to the outward appearances of society, did not mean they were not seething beneath the surface.  The dalliances of Byron and Casanova and other womanizers through the centuries with married and unmarried women is proof that despite their public personas, women were always looking to escape the bonds of matrimony.

There was no feminism in Rome, yet the same things took hold:  wanton female sexuality, marriage stikes by men, disincentives to work, diversity, entitlements.

Marriage was always a yoke, always restricting, always confining.

It is good for children.  It is good for society, but it was made to constrain (though it could not completely restrain) the most dangerous elements to stability civilization and progress: women and the top ten percent of men in exchange for the labor and stability of the 90% of men that remained.

But it requires sacrifice by everyone.

When all is done with the West as it is now, men will not so willingly make that sacrifice, even with the end of divorce, even with severe punishments for cuckolding.  It will be a long time before we return to some semblance of normalcy, if ever.  It will be a long time, if ever, that marriage is embraced again.  It will have to come from a new source.
