It is often pointed out that when things are bad and destabilizing, or at the point that women are tired of chasing the alphas and losing that they settle for Betas or become cat ladies.
There is another way to look at this. As I have said before a man’s behavior is on a continuum, there are behaviors that are repulsive (Omega) such as sitting around playing video games, there are characteristics that are admirable yet sadly neutral (Beta) such as working hard, loyalty, kindness and there are characteristics that are attractive to women (Alpha).
Men can become more alpha, they can become more beta. they can become more omega. What history calls upon them to do can often define a generation. It can push them either into being better or worse, both as a group and in terms of attraction to women,
The generation before the boomers had to deal with World War II and the depression. That war for survival, those dark times made men stronger by necessity, made them more attractive to women.
Most of human history has these events and it marks men. They learn what they are capable of. The face death.
After that we have a period of prosperity. We have vaccines, and those alone changed behavior in a drastic way. The loss of children through childhood became significantly less and so for the first time the parental investment in their children individually went way up, and the number of children, even with a “boom” went down.
The end result? The greatest generation of navel watchers ever to grace the planet.
Aptly named the Locust Generation.
They devour everything they touch and leave nothing behind.
There are those that think science and technology will provide an answer to the problems facing men. It won’t. It cannot. It will only make things worse. It will only accelerate the collapse, just like vaccines, which are wonderful, but the change in social behavior has led to the decline in reproduction rates in this country and weakened the bonds of family.
After the great war, our country has been involved in police actions, most if not all of which were mistakes. Nothing on the scale of survival of the country.
There has been nothing to push men into becoming stronger, to find within them those traits that made them powerful, instead they have become indolent within a society that marginalizes them.
Those two factors combined have made men less attractive and have done so for sixty years.
