In an Orwellian effort, Spain has proposed setting up a domestic violence tracking system throughout Europe, purportedly to help victims of abuse. However, Spain has already mandated electronic shackling of men subject to restraining orders, which are obtained without due process, so this is far more sinister than it might appear at first glance.
The following gives us a hint of what’s in store:
Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, a self-proclaimed “feminist”, pledged before the European Parliament last week to advance gender equality in the EU and “eliminate the scourge of violence against women”.
Specifically, Equality Minister Bibiana Aido has said the government plans to promote “the creation of a European observatory on domestic violence to gather information, create common tools and be able to make a global diagnostic of the situation.”
This so-called observatory is little more than a police database, obviously, to be used for God knows what.
It is starting to become clear that feminist-mandated chivalry is the current excuse governments are using to increase power over citizens. Their argument goes something like this: “If you oppose these measures, you must be all for beating up women, right?”
Feminism has matured into the totalitarian system it always wanted to be, and seeks to extend its tentacles into every nook and cranny of our lives. Like all totalitarian ideologies that have no purpose other than consolidation of absolute power, it is the mortal enemy of free men.
Frankly, I am deeply disappointed by Spain, but I suppose totalitarian tendencies die hard. Perhaps the feminists have simply replaced the Falangists. Nevertheless, I have always had an admiration for the Spanish people, and thought their women to be particularly attractive and graceful in comparison to other Europeans. Unfortunately, it appears that their lust for power has contorted them into twisted monstrosities compared to what they once were.
