President Obama has proposed a federal spending freeze to curtail runaway discretionary budget spending…for the most part. It is telling that Obama is also proposingthat one specific area of the budget will be exempt from the freeze: programs that benefit women. President Obama has singled out 15 such programs (9 of which are specifically gynocentric) for budgetary thawing in a document titled “Opportunity and Progress for Women and Girls”.
Said White House spokesman Kate Bedingfield:
“We’re looking at a lot of significant funding increases for women’s programs in a year when the president has ordered a three-year, non-security, discretionary spending freeze.”
If a sitting President pulled this stunt in favor of men’s programs (not that such a thing exists), he’d be railed out of office. But this is the major difference: if such a thing happened, there would be plenty of feminist-minded men who would speak out against such action. I’ll go out on a limb and say that few women this side of Michelle Malkin will utter one word in opposition to this deck-stacking.
If you’re in the market for blatant examples of misandry and leftist gender politicism, stop looking. The Supplicator in Chief exposed his true colors by bowing to foreign dignitaries; now he’s making an across the board exception for his most ardent supporters: women. This is what socialism looks like. This is what tyranny looks like. This is Pedestalism.
