We often hear about the tragedy of female infanticide in China, the abused girls of Africa, Afghanistan, etc. But how many people know that boys – including little babies – are significantly more likely to die from abuse or neglect in the United States? I’m not sure about the stats from the UK, Canada, Australia or NZ, but I assume boys make up the majority of abuse fatalities in those countries as well.
And it isn’t just fatalities — boys are significantly more likely to be seriously injured in cases of abuse and neglect. We’re not talking about a spanking, scratch or little bruise here: “serious injury” refers to concussions, broken bones, stab wounds, gunshot wounds, internal bleeding, etc. The most at risk group of children is baby boys under the age of one. Think about that for a moment. Children who are most likely to be fatally abused or neglected are tiny, helpless, baby boys. Not sullen or provocative teens, rambunctious little kids, or even mischievous toddlers, but little babies who can’t even walk and talk, and usually they’re boys.
Feminists like to make a lot of noise about child sexual abuse. It’s a pretty horrific thing that is mainly perpetrated by males against female victims, and they use it as ammunition against men on a consistent basis. But they are strangely silent about child fatalities and serious injuries. Rarely does one hear a peep about murdered children, severely beaten children, or fatally neglected children. Actually, there’s a good reason for that: in most of these cases the biological father had nothing to do with the child’s death or injury, so feminists can’t use the statistics to keep making the case that fathers should be summarily ejected from children’s lives. Fathers acting alone are less than half as likely as mothers acting alone to be involved in a child’s death. Interestingly, the graph does not make any distinctions between biological fathers and stepfathers, which, given custody statistics, would likely show that children are safer by far around biological fathers than any other adults.
Perhaps another reason the feminists fail to mention physical abuse and neglect of children is the fact that most victims are male children, and mothers are involved most of the time.
Feminists are not concerned about children’s welfare so much as they are about gaining political leverage through the use of blame and moral grandstanding. As moral cripples, feminists use sexual abuse as a crutch to give themselves the appearance of righteousness, but the statistics on child fatalities and serious injuries reveal the truth about their position. Feminists don’t really care about children; they only care about political power and the leverage that gives them to steal and appropriate resources and positions of influence.
Remember: every time feminists make a moral case against men, they are covering up a festering sore of their own creation.
