The real dirty secret in Rotherham is that the underground sex-trafficking rings were facilitated by the politics of contemporary multicultural Western cities. Ironically, in Muslim run cities in the Middle East, while these things happen, local officials are not likely to be complicit in them, because this kind of behavior has a way of (literally) exploding in their faces. And despite the claims of the local Rotherham Labour politicians, it looks as though they were complicit, going so far as to order police to ignore the crimes, and in some cases threaten white parents who complained with charges of “racism.”

While it’s unlikely that Muslim gangs could operate underage sex rings with impunity in the US at this point, certain politically favored groups do get away with a lot. One such group is gay men, who are almost never arrested by local police for hiring prostitutes, including underage males. The majority of those arrested for such crimes are either arrested outside the city proper, or arrested by federal agents. There’s an unstated rule that you “leave them alone.”

One-party politics is essentially a system of quid-pro-quo deals. Ideology ceases to matter much, because, after all, only one viewpoint is really tolerated anyway. For example, local Labour officials in Rotherham were so emboldened in their quest to quash dissent that they seized foster children from one family because the family supported the UKIP.

But political support still matters a great deal. There are still elections, and the candidate who wins is generally the one who can promise the most to the most people. And because cities have become essentially collections of interest groups that vote en bloc, certain communities can demand not only goodies, but a free hand to do as they please in certain spheres of influence. Hence the remarkable tolerance for Sharia practices in cities that otherwise smack down the religious with a heavy hand.

If a community is cohesive enough and grows to a certain proportion of the population, it can exert outsized influence on the entire city’s politics. Majority Americans, who are essentially atomized individuals who don’t see themselves as a united group, are no match for these communities because they are not very good at hanging together. Furthermore, they don’t generally see the city as a “home” so much as a place to make money and play for some time before leaving to a more family-friendly community.

But that may also help prevent a Rotherham in the US; the white working class family has already been all but evicted from many urban areas, so it wouldn’t be all that easy for urban gangs to exploit their children.

So, instead of sex-trafficking rings in US cities, I think we’ll see something else develop: widespread exploitation of the elderly. Old white residents of cities will be at risk for theft, exploitation and fraud. This could happen in the form of confidence scams, burglary, false romance and brazen robbery, not to mention credit card theft and the like.

If you have elderly middle class parents in one-party blue cities, I’d recommend encouraging them to move to safer areas. This is going to become a real problem very soon, as the population of elderly is set to explode in coming years, and they will be the easiest targets of all in our decaying society.
