Intro

Believe it or not, the idea that physical abuse is synonymous with twoo wuv is rather common in so-called less civilized / less developed cultures.  This may explain why in many subcultures, it’s basically OK for men to physically abuse women.

This post will cover Morocco as one such culture.

Physical Abuse Normalized as Love

Imane Bent El Howat (alt. Eman bint El Hawat; إيمان بنت الحوات; FB; YT), a female Musl!m singer from Morocco, released a song that describes an abusive relationship as totally normal, proper, and loving.

A part of El Hawat’s song says,

“If she tastes his beatings, she’ll never forget his love…
his abuse is a sign of jealousy and passion.”
“A slap fixes the mood.
They say a beating comes from paradise, the one who tastes it gets peace.” 

After the intense backlash her song received, the singer explained (or justified) her viewpoints in an interview.

“How else will a woman know her husband loves her and cares about her? I am not supporting violence or men who severely beat or scar women, no. I am for the ‘sweet beating’, the kind that reflects love, a playful slap, things like that…”

“He could push her, he could slap her, it’s normal. A mother (of a beaten woman) says: ‘Only the one who loves you, beats you. If he didn’t love you, he wouldn’t beat you,’“

Lest readers think this is just a one off sensationalistic oddity in the music arts, get this.

The common response of Moroccans to beaten women is a recommendation for them to hide their bruises with makeup so as to not reveal the fact that they’ve been disobedient or disrespectful enough to deserve a beating.

Compare to the New Testament:

Discipline is necessary for training children, daughters, and wives in righteousness (Hebrews 12:4-11). Discipline may be corporal if necessary, but it should always be done in love.

Pubescent Marriage

So called “underage” marriages have been banned in Morocco since 2004.  However, legal loopholes make it possible for girls under the age of 18 to be married, and this continues to be a common occurrence in rural areas.

Feministas will rave about this being an abuse of ‘The Patriarchy’, but no one is talking about how happy these teenage girls are to have their marriages consummated at an age at which they (and their husbands) can fully enjoy it and then live the rest of their lives in harmony.

Compare to the Old Testament:

Ages of brides are not specifically stated, but historians have estimated that the typical age of brides during Biblical times was soon after menses, i.e. 14 to 17 years of age, and sometimes girls as young as 12 were betrothed to be married as soon as they reached puberty.

R@pe => Marriage

Morocco had a law that exonerated a r@pist if he/she married the victim.  In 2014, Morocco’s parliament amended this article of the penal code, after receiving international condemnation for the prevalence of ‘bride’ r@pe suicides in the country.

Everyone is talking about the ethics of a woman being overpowered by a man through coercion, and how much women hate this, but no one is talking about how women find meaning, fulfillment, and identity through this phenomenon of being desired, and how much women love this.

Compare to the Old Testament:

28 “If a man finds a young woman who is a virgin, who is not betrothed, and he seizes her and lies with her, and they are found out, 29 then the man who lay with her shall give to the young woman’s father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife because he has humbled her; he shall not be permitted to divorce her all his days.

Concluding Statements

The modern feminized West condemns such treatment of women as ‘abusive’.  But however unethical these interactions might be according to debased Western culture, what’s been covered here is not explicitly unbiblical.

Muslims recognize this, and yet Christians do not.

Meanwhile, Western women are enthusiastically inviting Muslims (AKA ‘refugees’) into their home countries and homes … while Western women are leaving the Christian church in droves.

So what is behind all this?

Is it a coincidence? Or are we witnessing the uglier aspects of basic human nature reverting back to Biblical standards due to the corruption of Feminism?

Upon reading this, how many young men will be booking a flight to Morocco later this year?
