Why do women wear makeup?

Q: Why are [insert demographic] men so ugly?

A: Because [insert demographic] men do NOT wear makeup.

As a child, I believed that women wore makeup to make themselves more beautiful.

As an adolescent, I believed that women wore makeup to attract men.

But when I became a MAN, and as my discernment grew, I put these half-baked ideas behind me (1 Corinthians 13:11).

In this video, Myron Gaines makes the case that women wear makeup to look good for men, specifically high SMV men. The way he handles the discussion makes it appear like it’s a truth that the women don’t want to admit. But the real reason the chicks are reticent is because there is another truth that the women are embarassed to admit and are trying to avoid — a truth that Myron didn’t pick up on. Interestingly, Walter and their esteemed guest Andrew Wilson didn’t catch this either.

The women claim that they wear makeup for themselves, which is only 1/4 of the truth — the polite part. One woman mentions that they do it for ‘networking’, which is a little more honest, but she refuses to explain what ‘networking’ means. One woman goes so far as to say that she wears whatever makeup style will maximize her income (as a stripper or 0nlyF@ns starlette, I presume). This gets us three-quarters of the way there.

Here, I’ll explain the last tidbit of truth that will tie it all together — the dirty bits that no woman wants to reveal.

It’s NOT for ‘Looks’

First of all, take a closer look at Myron’s video.  ALL the women on his panel have the SAME style of makeup.

  • Fake eyelashes
  • ‘Nude’ colored lipstick
  • Highlighted cheekbones
  • The “Natural” makeup style
  • Black Hooded, Winged, or “Cat’s Eye” eyeliner
  • Eyebrows manicured to the “thin, arched” shape (see image below)
  • With one exception, even their hairstyle is the same — straightened and parted down the center.

They’re all the SAME!

Take a look around and you’ll see that this is true for any herd of hens.  The styles of makeup may vary from group to group, but ALL the women in a clique will have the SAME style of makeup.

Is it a coincidence that ALL these women might say they think they look their best in this SAME exact style?

Or do you think these chicks all wore the same style of makeup just because it is the trending style?

Ironically, their purpose for wearing makeup is NOT to make themselves look more beautiful or BETTER than other women per se.  No.  The goal is NOT to stand out as any different from the others.  The purpose is to nail the accepted sameness within a particular clique and context.  “I have to identify as the MOST generic clown in the room.”  Paradoxically, the woman who mimics the most homogeneous cake face of the bunch wins the competition for cosmetic consistency.  She will be applauded by all the other women and receive the most ego stroking.

It’s NOT for Men

Do you think these chicks all wore the SAME style of makeup to impress Andrew, Myron, or Walter?  Or the producer?  Or a mystery Ch@d watching them from behind stage?  Or their boyfriends (plural) watching them on YouTube?

No.  It’s not for men.  In general, the P_ssy cartel strictly forbids women to do anything specifically to appeal to men’s interests or to win a man’s favor.

Women do NOT collect thousands of dollars of cosmetics and then spend hours each day dabbling it on their faces in order to impress the man in their life.  No.  They do it to LOOK LIKE other women and to FIT IN to their peer clutch.

In a private relationship with a man, a woman will let that man believe she’s wearing makeup just for him as a form of honeycraft to soften him up.

But make no mistake, when push comes to shove, and she’s forced to choose between the makeup style that her main squeeze likes best, or the makeup style that is trending among her clique of the week, she’ll choose the latter.

It’s for ‘SAMEness’ i.e. Group Identity

There is Power (and anonymity) in Numbers.

Women will don the same makeup style to signify they are part of the herd.

If every woman in her clique has manicured eyebrows, she will too.

If every woman in her clique is wearing blue lipstick, she will too.

If every woman in her clique has short hair or long hair or dyed hair or bangs or braids or botox or eyeliner or a tattoo or whatever, she will get that too.

Women will spend hours and thousands of dollars at the salon to make themselves as generic to the herd as possible. Whatever the ‘IN’ look is, i.e. whatever all the other women in her clique are putting on, she’ll break her purse strings to adapt.

The more women there are in a group, the more makeup they will wear.  The less women there are, the less they will wear.

Why? More peer pressure to identify with and fit into the group.

A woman who goes hiking or camping with her boyfriend or husband will not bring her eyeshadow and lipstick, because if there are no other women around then it doesn’t matter to her, even though it might matter to him.

Why not? No herd and no Queen Bee to criticize and police her presentation.

OTOH, a woman who works at a corporation will be checking her compact mirror every half hour, even though it entices temptation and does nothing to improve her marriage.

Why?  Intra-female pressure to conform to an acceptable sameness.  It is a ‘sin’ to be ostentatiously different.

Conclusions

Men might think a woman wears makeup because she wants to make herself look more beautiful, or BETTER than other women, or more appealing to men.

No, No, and No.

These might be partly true, but the real reason why women wear makeup is to CONFORM. The reason why it is so important for her to conform is so that she can build up rapport in the clique, establish a modicum of faux trust, get the inside scoop on all the soundbytes, and use those social connections for her own purposes. Those purposes may or may not include attracting or bagging or duping a man, depending on what the clique is doing. But either way, the big payoff for women is in the acceptance, affirmation, and attention she receives from being a spoke in the ever spinning hamster wheel of the clique.

In short, women feel an overarching need to conform and fit into a clique of peers.  The reward is acceptance into the female herd and possibly (hopefully) peer validation.

Men, if you find a woman who dresses to please you, and only you, who wears her hair as long as you like, and who values your opinion more than that of her female peers, then you’ve found a rare and valuable gem. Such behavior deserves to be rewarded.
