What motivates such behavior? why honor was important to these men?
At the age of 18 I stood in a small office in a military base. I had to look on several words and choose one. I chose ‘infantry’. Why would anybody choose this option when easier and safer options are available? I didn’t knew it then in my blue-pill days, or more accurately I knew it and was not aware of it. Like basically all other human behaviors, the true inner motivation for my decision emanated from sex and reproduction. Young men would do crazy things to prove their sexual value and masculinity, and what better way is to prove you’re a man than doing something women can’t.
Today, police enforced state feminism methodically acts to destroy any bastion of masculinity, any boys only club is demonized (the US president himself had time to deal with a ‘mighty’ men only golf club). The politically correct brain thought police requires that there is nothing that men can do that women can’t. When reality deviates from this, they claim discrimination and bend the system to accommodate women.
This is feminism’s way to suppress Jack Donovan’s gangs of men. But should we care? In a way, the army utilized men’s need to affirm their masculinity to the goals of the state. The army, and the state in general, will be less effective without utilizing men’s masculinity, and even less effective after replacing design for maximum efficiency by design allowing diversity. Within a gang, honor is closely related to a man social and sexual status. However, honor as a virtue has no meaning outside a gang of men, without this context and in an atomized society, honor is a vice, a weakness, not a virtue.
A gang of men should only act to protect itself, not to serve others. The western state is not a gang of men anymore. In fact, the western state hates and fights to eliminate gangs of men and it is thus not worthy to be protected by gangs of men.
