Note: I found this stardate converter website. Nerditry!

Sitting here with babies in the floor and coffee in my hand. Got up early for the first of hopefully many times, to cook the Captain breakfast before he went to work. All protein, no carbs baby! I’m determined to make it a ritual, instead of being a lazy bum like I have been. I’ve got to be up for the early-rising boys, so why not?

I didn’t have any time to write this weekend. I try to make at least a rough outline for a couple of posts on Sunday. My dad and stepmom moved out, so there was a lot of activity and not a lot of time to do extracurriculars. They’d been living with us since a few months before the boys were born, and while it was invaluable to have them help out after the birth considering my surgery and the harsh logistics of twins, I think it was about time. A lot of the stress I’ve felt over the last few months was over my dad continuing to be unemployed and in our house, because the help wasn’t really needed anymore. Sure, he watched the boys while I slept in a little, but it wasn’t worth the tradeoff for me. A lot of bad feelings from childhood resurfaced. My non-confrontational nature didn’t bring any of this up, of course, but the Captain handled most of the communication that I couldn’t, and for that I’m grateful. We celebrated with new sexy undies and loud sex on Saturday night, haha.

I’m looking forward to planning and cooking meals again (my dad was handling that), and being able to walk around in my underwear at night if I want to. I cleaned out the refrigerator yesterday, and I feel great. I’m very picky about how old food is in there, my dad is not. I’m not done yet, but the old cheese is gone. Yessss.

I’ve been dealing with a bit of insomnia, and rarely go to bed before 11pm, so this is gonna take some getting used to. Oy. I can tell I’m not gonna be as productive as I could be. And now the girl is up early. Moar coffees!
