Know how I can tell? Because it’s cold as fuck (for Texas), and I’m bundled up surrounded by kleenexes and nursing a hot cup of peppermint tea. I’m always a bit surprised that I can go to bed feeling peachy keen, and wake up feeling like I’ve got the plague. Dear God, if you can hear me, please don’t let it spread to the kids….

I discovered yesterday that the boys magically sprouted teeth in their sleep Sunday night. No fussing or anything, really. This is a guarantee that they’ll be God awful teenagers, isn’t it?

I’m making myself knit again. I need something to do with my hands when I’m just watching to make sure the boys don’t claw each others eyes out during the day, as they’re sometimes wont to do. Babies don’t understand that when you pull hair or poke eyes, it hurts. One of the many aspects of twins I never contemplated. But it is kinda funny to watch the little baby wrestling matches going on in my living room till they get to that point. Like the slowest fight ever.

A lot of my new blog commenters lately have been of the Taken In Hand, TTWD variety. We don’t have that kind of relationship, but I’m fascinated by it nonetheless. Thank you all for commenting and linking to your blogs, you’ve given me some things to ponder.

Our financial/job situation is starting to get bad. I’ve been advised by the Captain to drop all pretenses of low-carb and healthy to cook with shitloads of potatoes and cheap carbs, because they’re cheap. I don’t think that’s gonna make a whole hell of a lot of difference, but I guess every little bit helps. Back to the Hamburger Helper days it is, then.

On that note, I’ve been seriously pondering the possibility of getting a part time job. The logistics would be tricky, and I’d probably work myself to death, but I’m not sure if I see an alternative at this point. When it gets to the point that we’re selling shit on eBay to get by, I don’t really think there’s much of a choice.

Can I just get 5 more minutes of sleep, mom? I’ll be up soon, I promise…
