6 hour trip out went well, trip back was a little rockier due to the Midwest being relocated to the Northeast briefly. Pretty much spent the entire time away traveling from house to house to see family, showing off the twinnies. Thankfully, they were so exhausted from it all that they slept through the night nearly every night we were away, and last night too. The 2 year old slept with us, and God love her, she stayed stuck to me the entire time, the little nuclear furnace that she is. We both woke up sweaty and burning up on the 30 degree mornings, while poor the poor Captain hung out on the other side of the bed alone, freezing, piling on blankets. Good cuddle time was had in our own bed, sans kids last night.
He got me this lovely apron, and I’m rather surprised some of my rather conservative Facebook friends immediately went the sexual route with the comments. I didn’t even say anything about wearing it naked!

We’re recuperating today. I’m going to go out to do a little last minute post-Christmas Christmas shopping for folks we haven’t seen yet (and for the Christmas evening we didn’t get to have, giggity!)
God bless my sweet step mother, we walked into a magically cleaned house when we got home. Oh how I love that woman. Speaking of that whole thing, still haven’t sent my dad the email. Got some feedback from my sister, but haven’t touched it because I feel like it would have been a shitty thing to ruin his Christmas like that. I’ll probably send it after we have our family Christmas on Saturday.
I’ve got lots of thoughts bubbling around in my brain, looking forward to getting some of it to print soon. Christmas was a good reboot, I think. Hope you all had a wonderful holiday, wherever you are!
