Subject line is a favorite saying of a guy I used to be stationed with. It makes me laugh every time I think of it.
Anyway, today has been…. Interesting. And entertaining. I can’t help but laugh. This morning, one of the boys climbed our changing table. Little dude can’t walk yet, but is climbing the tallest thing in the room. Heart attack city.
He also climbed the coffee table, fell off the other side, and got stuck upside down in between the table and playpen fence (we have the fence around our TV). And got stuck upside down in the toy bin.
He fell on his brother’s head face first. It’s hard to comfort two little guys at once.
Can you tell that this one will be a handful? Thank God they’re not identical. No, really, thank God. I am completely phobic of heights, and this transfers to seeing them on things. So I’m dyin over here!
Made the trek to Walmart to get formula, because yesterday I had one of those “go to the store and get everything except the one thing you actually needed to get” store trips. BRILLIANT!
The three year old as suddenly contracted Can-I-Have-That-itis. And not even for kiddie things… But we NEED that 3 pack of dog bones! Never mind the fact that we have no dog.
I notice on the way back from Walmart that the sapphire has fallen out of my titanium captured-gem wedding band. It’s not the ring we were married with, and I still have the old ring set as a backup. It was my mom’s first set… Considering my parents are now divorced, I’m kinda feeling weird about wearing it. Not necessarily superstitious or anything, just weird.
So we get home, and the oldest is freaking out because she “wants to go on an adventure” before we go inside. I have no idea what that means. That turns into “I want to go to the beach!” Never been to the beach in her whole life. She’s spent most of the day doing “sunsets” (summersaults) in the living room.
I love our kids.
I don’t mention all this to bitch, because I’ve taken today in stride. It’s highly amusing to me. I’m just wondering what’s next. I keep hearing a noise from the boys’ room, I’m starting to suspect that Climby Climberton has climbed out of his crib and is playing with things, but I’m scared to look.
Edit: He didn’t, but it’s only a matter of time…
Captain M made me giggle.
