Tried to make the title as obnoxious as possible, did I succeed? It sounds a bit like something that’s probably already in production by Syfy channel. Needs more sharks.

This week has been… Well, it’s been cold. It’s been below freezing for 3 days now. Everything is covered in ice, trees down all over the place. One of the branches on the big tree in the back yard fell, and thankfully missed the house and the grill.

I braved the icy roads to see the Dallas Stars whoop upon the Philly Flyers yesterday. That was a nice break from the kids and such.

We had our first “State of the Marriage” meeting last week (note to self: come up with a better name, that one sucks). Got a lot of stuff out in the open, hopefully to get us moving out of this rut we’ve been in.

After a particular bad weekend between the two of us in which we fought like two wet cats trapped in a box together, Captain M went to get his testosterone tested, just in case. It came back very low. VERY low, given his age. Low enough that it’s treatable under insurance. This baffles me… I never would have guess. He seems to have a permanent erection, and doesn’t really seem all that tired or anything, not any more than normal anyway. He’s got a lot of work stress happening, and a lot of home stress, and I’m sure that plays into the numbers, though I can’t imagine stress can account for T numbers of a 70 year old, can it??? This seems to happen way too often. So many guys over at MMSL have discovered the same thing. Young guys. I really hope there are some very smart scientists researching what could be causing that kind of epidemic. There’s a reason low-t clinics are popping up like McDonalds.

We’re just now starting to look into all the info. I’m skeptical. I did want him to go get his levels tested, but I was thinking of it as more of a baseline to compare to later in life. I’m a little freaked out about it, but BOTH of us having hormonal issues would explain a lot of crap.

Oh, we found out one of the boys has a milk and egg white allergy, so I’m trying to adjust accordingly. Learned how to make my own almond milk. Once I perfect it (I’m gonna add calcium and vitamin d to the next batch!), I’ll post the recipe.
