I came across some interesting research recently in regards to how different animals (and humans) process fear, and ways this relates to our social conditioning. The researchers use two examples the wolf and the rabbit. The wolf operates in a system of scarcity. His survival depends on validating himself to the rest of the pack. They are fiercely loyal, control their breeding habits, and work closely together to catch their pray. It is survival of the fittest. Males evolve to be courageous and strong, females carefully nurture offspring. This is what the researchers call the ‘K’ type reproductive strategy. In the world around us it is more akin to conservatism and capitalism.
On the other hand we have the rabbits. What the researchers term ‘R’ type. They have an abundance of food. Grass is everywhere. They have plenty of places to dig holes for homes. The rabbits freely fornicate with whomever, whenever. “Breeding like a rabbit” is a term I am sure you are all familiar with. The breeding pattern is aligned around plenty. Females are not loyal to their mates, the purpose being to cross pollinate the gene pool as often as possible. They do not care much for their young.
“Great,” says the little head. “Orgy every night.”
However, if you think about living in a muddy hole in the ground and eating only grass, you begin to put humanity alongside hippy communes and communist tragedies. Although the rabbit has an abundance mentality, he also has a fear mentality to go along with it. At the first sign of trouble all concepts of community are abandoned and every bunny must run for himself and dive down the nearest hole. If one or two get eaten by the wolf, so be it – plenty more where they came from. You see how the abundance mentality devalues the life form itself.
The researchers take it much further and examine how the brain processes fear. The lizard brain or amygdala is the filter through which all sensory input and data is fed. It determines whether a fight or flight response is necessary. In a rabbit the amygdala is incapable of processing information to any great degree. It simply triggers a RUN response and that is that. It’s like a 1/2 amp fuse. It just blows right away.
In a wolf or K type, the amygdala is far more highly developed. Think 13 amp fuse. Thus a wolf is capable of assessing if fear is absolutely necessary or not. This enables it to organize its social and breeding habits in a far more advanced manner. We can clearly see that the wolf is a more intelligent and advanced species than the rabbit. A high investment is put into raising young. A high investment is put into mating, and maintaining group loyalty in the pack.
Operating from a ‘K’ type or scarcity mentality puts a high value on life.
In the human realm, conservatives and red pill proponents operate from a scarcity mentality. Socialists, feminists and communists operate from an abundance or ‘R’ type mentality, ultimately devaluing life and failing to take into account that whilst we do have huge cities and a vast web of international supply chains, financial markets, government and so forth, this is something that was constructed by the ‘K’ type mindset in the first place.
It is not natural to human existence to have such abundance—it has been created by hard work, loyalty, investment and not least, by operating in small ‘family’ type cells like a family home, a unit in the army, or a division inside a larger corporation. Humans understand small groups best. A stadium of 50,000 people is impressive, but it is not useful unless broken into small units. It is prone to ‘R’ type herd behavior.
‘K’ type mentality demands performance and competition, both innate natures of the human being. Socialism, feminism and communism tries to eliminate competition by saying that everyone can easily be provided for equally. This removal of performance incentive and competition has proved to be a lie again and again throughout history – even the Romans failed largely by taking on an abundance mentality.
The red pill largely relates to ‘sex’, but it can easily be expanded to encompass all social interaction, hence proponents of game such as Roosh and Christian McQueen are often vocal in stating that improving ‘game’ and attitude towards ‘mating’ also improves a man’s career, business outlook, finances and over all respect in society. On the other hand, we can see men who slide from alpha to beta lose respect, energy and either end up dull and uninteresting or outright unhappy in some mundane suburban married life.
According to researchers, it all comes down to the amygdala and its ability to process danger and thus enable or disable risk taking and forward planning. A rabbit digs a hole largely for protection and out of fear for its life. It runs away at the slightest sign of danger or worse goes into total overload mode and freezes, simply hoping for the best. That is all it can do. We can see this habit in left wing politicians that in the face of absolute social upset, hide in the presidential palace hoping for the best, or make speeches denying there is any problem.
Women have smaller amygdalas
What’s more, research has shown that women generally have a far less developed amygdala, making them unable to handle more risky situations. Women prefer, like the rabbit, to tolerate a constant low level of fear and simply have a nest of safety to run to and or hope for the best. If I understand the research correctly, they also go on to state that the amygdala can be developed or allowed to degenerate much like a muscle, such that a man who was once a beta can most certainly engage in more active and aggressive pursuits (not just game), and thus improve his overall approach to life, making himself more independent and so forth.
The more we are exposed to ‘danger’, ‘competition’ and survival of the fittest, the more the brain adapts to handle the necessary sensory input and process the data to allow more aggressive risk taking. Cross linking this to some other research, psychologists have been using outward bound style training camps and month long trips into the wilderness to assist both men and women with mental problems like OCD and ADHD. Obviously fending for yourself, trekking, sleeping in a tent, and cooking your own food on a campfire activates and improve the amygdala’s abilities, thus all manner of phobias and unexplained mental issues are ironed out.
It turns out that all those sports and military cadets that boys are forced to do in school have great meaning. What’s more, the aggressive, disciplinary drill sergeant, screaming at young men and telling them they must be faggots is exactly what is needed to develop their amygdala and prevent them turning into limp-wristed metrosexuals. Meanwhile, the socialists and feminists huddle together behind closed doors, demanding equal rights while feeling threatened and insecure because the world is an ‘aggressive’ place. The gay crowd also take the ‘soft’ communal attitude to life for similar reasons. They simply cannot handle any kind of aggression.
This kind of science is what the red pill needs
It illuminates what many of us have suspected all along and adds valuable depth to all aspects of our social interactions and ‘mating’ habits. It also gives the ‘K’ type mind a way to disarm and pacify the ‘R’ type. Where the ‘K’ type will tend to bark orders, belittle, swear, and generally rev up a person’s adrenaline (they use the example of an army drill sergeant), this behavior sends the poor ‘R’ type into panic mode, diving for its rabbit hole or all out freezing in fear. How many dates, girlfriends and marriages have been blown up when the guy says a few words that are too aggressive for her and she crumples into her shell? That silent mood that women like to switch on is her hiding in her rabbit hole.
If you have ever watched TV shows like The Mentalist or seen how alpha males such as Don Draper on Mad Men behave, you’ll notice they ooze pure masculine aggressiveness and form. At the same time they remain calm controlled and show little sign of any outward emotion, either positive or negative. They just are. They are able to gently massage the ‘R’ type’s, undeveloped amygdala into submission without frightening it.
The key is using softly spoken well-thought out arguments and politely chosen words, almost hypnotizing the other person. A clever ‘K’ type is not rushed or hassled into an aggressive response because he knows the ‘R’ type will simply start blowing fuses. It’s a difficult art for many of us to master and something that I myself can be terrible at. Many times in my life I have been guilty of trying to lead like a captain of a platoon charging a machine gun nest. Colleagues and especially women just crumple and point the finger at me as way too aggressive. You are ‘mad’, ‘out of control’, ‘you have an anger management problem’ are terms that have been thrown at me. This is the alpha’s perpetual problem.
Whilst I suppose my behavior can be overly harsh and my choice of words aggressive at best (think London gangster movie), now I understand that instead of seeing myself as having a ‘problem’ - it is the other people that have a deficiency. Essentially they are easily scared. Relate the whole thing back to game and we see that being too upfront about sex, or engaging the “no sex tonight” hamster makes it freeze up or run away. Whereas slowly warming her up with Roosh’s indirect lines is far from manipulation—it’s simply the scientific way to deal with someone who has a lesser developed amygdala and thus a low tolerance for fear and a lower drive to engage in risk taking. Sex is a risky pursuit especially for a woman. Combine with that a low tolerance for fear and you have to walk on eggshells just to get a kiss.
What game does is tame the bunny rabbit
It allows the wolf to creep up on the pray without scaring it off. What’s more it allows us red pill crew to engage the feminists, socialists and all manner of trolls in a clear, calm emotion free manner, almost hypnotizing them through carefully chosen words and sound arguments. This is a very powerful tool for all of us. If we fail to use it correctly, the world stands to sink further into an abundance mentality that in fact devalues life. Furthermore we end up being branded as the bad guys because our point of view comes across as overly aggressive or plain mad to people who have more delicate sensibilities.
The most ironic thing about this research is that it shows the feminists, liberals and socialists for what they really are. While they hark on about equality and better standards for all, they are simply people that lack a well developed brain function in regards to managing fear and engaging in risk taking. This means far from building a stable society, they actually end up inhibiting the risk takers, slowing down progress and winding up with an every-man-for-himself panic. The fall of communism and the rise of the oligarchs being a classic case. Now, get off your ass and put in some fucking effort you maggot.
