Men and women have the same genes, but different manifestation of the genetic data due to sex hormones. If one gender is better at doing activity X, the other gender can use the exact genes to achieve the exact same ability.
Therefore, all differences between men and women are trade offs related to different reproductive strategies. If one gender has a reduced ability to do activity Y, it is only due to the need to better due activity Z and better serve it reproductive strategy. Hence, men and women are different, but these differences are quid pro pro, there is some equality in evolution.
