The validity of an argument or an opinion is determined by how accurately this opinion or argument correlates with reality, not to its not being offensive or not hurting someone feelings.
By declaring themselves offended the political correctness police can control the opinions and vocabulary used in discussion. Don’t let them have this power over you. Tell them to keep being offended. Truth is more important than feelings.
