Premise 1: Religions are effective in controlling human emotions and behavior.
Premise 2: One of the principal tools used widely by religions is the prayer, which is required in virtually all religions (sometimes up to five times a day).
Contention 1, based on premise 1 and premise 2: Prayer is an effective tool to control emotions and behavior.
Corollary 1 to Contention 1: Personal, self-designed prayers (as well as other tools used by religions and states) can be used your advantage in order to control and change your emotions and behavior.
