Yesterday afternoon I pulled off what I’ve decided to call a Zeta Switch. There is a girl who works at the grocery store who has been flirting with me for some time. For those interested, I’d estimate her age at about 19-20 (close to Hermione’s) and I’d call her an 8, maybe even a 9. She’s quite attractive, and very nice.
We were out grocery shopping yesterday, and she was there again. She really likes our son (who doesn’t – he’s awesome!), so she always likes to say hi when she sees him. Anyway, lately I’ve been following standard Game theory and flirting with other girls in front of my wife for DHV and preselection purposes. When you’re out with your GF/wife, you can get a nice little DHV/preselection feedback loop going. The presence of your GF/wife indicates higher value and preselection for the flirt target (especially if she’s generally happy in your presence), and the flirting does the same for your GF/wife. Played properly, you can use this to increase your standing with both women. I did a pretty good job of that yesterday, which was good. I’m still new to this, so the fact that this girl has been flirting with me for some months now really helped put me at ease and let me get some practice in.
Anyway, the Zeta Switch: flirt a little bit with girl. Flirt some with the wife. Start up some friendly conversation – safe, but probing for personal information; most importantly, something the two girls have in common. BAM – now the girls are talking to each other, both of them following me around like I’m an alpha. The stage is now set to help my wife gain a new friend. This is perfect in so many ways. Hermione could actually use the friends. We kind of live in the boonies right now, and don’t have a lot of local friends. Also, if they hit it off as friends, that gives me more convenient opportunities to flirt with someone in front of the wife. She gets a friend, I get to enjoy flirting with her (the girl is super nice and super cute, so it’s definitely fun), I get the opportunity to continually demonstrate higher value and enhance our own relationship, Hermione’s attraction for me grows, thus making me happier in our relationship.
Perfect.
I pulled off the maneuver almost by accident yesterday, but I’m going to work at expanding this – both in terms of maneuvering them to develop an honest friendship and in terms of pulling this off again in the future.
