A Style Guide for Good Looking Guys/Losers
By: Zuberi & Team GLL Forward from Good Looking Loser
The Guide to Style is for the normal/smart guy that wants to "look good." The guide prioritizes "looking good" moreso than "looking edgy," like Scotty and I generally follow. It helps to be 'above-average' looking (or working toward it) if you follow this guide. The guide will apply and appeal to the majority of guys who need to get their sex appeal together.
Zuberi was the very first guy I worked with online. In late 2011, through a random set of events, we ran into each other on a 'mainstream-but-hardly-credible' pickup forum where some guys had posted my "What If I Approach 100 Girls?" study. He reminded me a lot of myself when I got into this stuff- excited, determined, optimistic but pretty much clueless that the industry was largely a scam. He was hungry try some of the body language techniques that he had memorized but only after he studied the rest of [insert clown PUA-who-doesn't-get-girls] advanced theory.
In order to save him 5 years on his life, thousands of dollars and a future psychiatrist bills, I decided to teach him everything I knew (not all at once).
Little he did know, I largely did so because I knew he was going to be incredibly successful. I basically guaranteed it. He was like me in 2007, young, optimistic and already had looks/style/swag (overall coolness) taken care of.
All that was left was 'social freedom' and just some general experience (the two go hand-in-hand).
He was Good Looking Loser, just the Euro-trash version. (joke) So, long.story.short, he beat AA and then he immediately started dating high-status model chicks. Not bad. Basically the same as my story, instead it took him 3.5 months instead of 3.5 years.
He's where I wished I was at 22. He's where everyone should try to be at that age.
One thing that made me certain that "The Zuberi Project" was going to be relatively easy, so long as I kept him moving forward (aka talking to girls) and not sideways/backwards (aka not talking to girls)- was his sense of style. It was impressive. (no homo)
He basically had the "well-dressed" "I'm cool (and we both know it)" thing down. He dressed like he got laid a lot.
In fact, he had his style so well together that I changed NOTHING. I don't even think I suggested anything.
The Zuberi Guide to Style is for the normal/smart guy that wants to "look good." And Remember- you don't have to be good looking to "look good."
Now this differs with Scotty and my look that pushes EDGINESS in order score chicks QUICKLY. Zuberi's Guide to Style will appeal to more guys than if I wrote one. It's his gift to the GoodLookingLoser community and I recommend that you read it and ask questions on the Get Style Sub-Forum.
Zuberi's Guide to Style (Introduction)
We often say that you need to maximize your looks if you want to be successful with hot girls yet many of us don’t know what to look for when it comes to style & grooming. I could write hundreds and hundreds of pages about this but for now I decided to write a very simple guide to basic hygiene and styling. I cover the principles so you can decide for yourself how you want to implement them.
So who am I when it comes to styling? Am I an ‘authority’ on the topic?
I used to dress fucking horribly. I remember a point in high school (first year) when baggy jeans were suddenly becoming fashionable and I asked my mom if I could get one. She ended up buying one for me (knowing just as little about male fashion as I did) and it turned out that my ‘baggy jeans’ were actually wide piped girl jeans…ooops…
When I changed my style accordingly by observing others my results with girls during my high school times increased tenfold. Thus, I discovered the power of dressing well, but I hardly applied the things I knew beyond anything very basic because I was too busy partying my ass off so I couldn’t care less (and still got good results).
When I lived in NYC I read the game for the first time and, like many others, applied the concept of ‘peacocking’ to shameful extents. I was wearing retarded hats that didn’t resonate with my personality and style just to get attention. It was for all the wrong reasons.
Now, Ive’ always been the type of guy that Googles, reads and observes a shitload when it comes to learning new things, so I did just that when I discovered my new look wasn’t paying off. I read books about colors combinations, looks, primal turn-ons for women and a lot of other stuff. It took me years but slowly I started to get quite knowledgeable about styling and got compliments a lot more.
Its simple really: Just keep an open eye to guys you see on TV, guys you see walking down the streets, guys in clubs and what not and just copy that. Go to clothing stores more often to see what they have in their selection-even if you don’t have money to buy anything right there and then. Ask girls for advice, their thoughts on certain shoes, scarfs and what not. You’d be surprised how easily they categorize guys based on simple things such as the types of shoes he wears. Why? Because you are sub-communicating something about yourself via your dress.
Like Chris said, dress like you’re a somebody. If you don’t treat yourself with respect by taking care of your hygiene and making sure that what you wear, generally speaking, brings out your best physical traits and qualities, you're basically telling others that you don’t value yourself that highly and that they should treat you the same.
That's the laid back version of it, in other words- if you look like dog shit, you won't be getting Hot Girls. Hot girls don't like dog shit.
So it's time to become more proactive concerning your style and keep an open mind to things you see around you. Before you know it you’ll be a fucking dandy.
Real fucking dandy.
All the best-
