After seeing the usual suspects on this Roissy post claiming the pictured girl isn’t that hot so they can look discerning, I was going to write a brief rant spelling out why they’re full of shit, but as it turns out, Roissy himself has already done the job for me:
…most of these internet nerdlings who claim this girl is a 4 or 5 are playing the tired game of keyboard jockey uberstandards poseur. most of them would cream their pants if this girl so much as batted an eyelash at them. thought experiment: assume for a minute that jessica alba wasn’t famous. i bet if i put non-famous alba’s pic up here the usual basement masturbatory gollums would rank her “a 5 at best”. exercise a bit of judgment when listening to spergy nerdboys claim standards that would make byron blush with envy.
Ganttsquarry also wrote on this issue. Really, this transparent posturing on a blog comment section is pathetic. Cut it out.
