Periodically women get into a spot of bother and can very much appreciate a spot of rescue.
My thought is that it’s a fairly natural reaction to just swoop in and save them. After all that’s what fairy tales are all about, the dashing white knight rescuing the damsel in distress and living happily ever after.
But like the old female advice to “don’t give the milk away for free or no one will buy the cow“…
… “don’t supply rescue for free or no one will give it up for the knight”.
It’s perfectly fine to rescue women, just frame it from the get go as “I’m not a white knight, I’m a horny knight. Do you wish to be rescued?” If the answer is “no”, then thumbs up to feminism and you can skip the effort of saving her. By jumping directly to the end point of not having sex with her, you incur minimal wastage of your day.
Of course in a marriage, both husband and wife are going to get into a spot of bother once in a while and desire a spot of rescue. Why shouldn’t you both get to play a game of Horny Knight to the Rescue? “Sure honey, I’ll come unlock your car for you. But you’ve got to hand over your underwear…”.
And of course people that require endless rescuing for no good reason are basically awful as spouses. If you’re constantly saving a girlfriend from her own folly, marrying her is like becoming her unpaid support staff.
As an aside, be very cautious about interfering in any kind of domestic dispute between a man and a woman. As soon as you intervene you become the greatest physical threat to the other man and men typically see other men as more appropriate objects of violence. He might have been just yelling at her, but if you walk up you might get assaulted. Also you’re not bulletproof, for all you know the female is the one that’s armed and decides to protect her man from you. Serious concerns just dial 911 and let the police sort it out.
