My art project is complete after two months of carrying around a cheap disposable camera. Here are the results:
I got jealous of my Dad’s garden so I bought a bag of “plantable basil” and put it in a pot, which I’m holding in the picture. I wanted to feel that gardener pride that comes with creating life. My Dad has since taken over the basil plant without my permission. The end game was supposed make a pizza but I lost interest.
Starbucks #07417 is where I get most of my writing done. There is a table that is alone by itself near the entrance and usually I sit there with my back to the door so I’m not tempted to look outside. This picture is taken from that table.
This man is the only college friend I regularly keep in touch with. The picture captures very well the dynamic of his relationship with the girl.
Picture of a famous retired blogger. This was the first time I saw her with the “Argentine haircut” and I was very excited.
Shot of a man hug combined with a little bit of ta-ta from the girl. Taken in the crappy bar Tattoo.
I took my Dad out for dinner one night and he greatly enjoyed the belly dancing entertainment. She rolled around on the floor with a tray of tea cups and pot on her head. Very impressive.
My Dad (left) and his friend at an airport bar.
Two Brazilian girls in heated Portuguese discussion.
Neighborhood kid walking Fluffy the dog. The young man made an appearance in one of my videos. This is my favorite picture from the project.
A night out at the former bar I used to work at.
Me sitting by a pool table. Taken by Arjewtino.
Hanging out at the Reef.
This was the picnic to see off a friend, pictured. I liked the picnic idea so much that I brought a date to the same location a few days later…
She was visiting from South Africa (note her t-shirt). They don’t really make them like that in America anymore.
I know sequels are always worse (except Terminator 2), but I’m thinking of continuing the art project with another disposable camera. Digital just can’t compete to the more natural feel of film.
