A couple of days ago Marky Mark put up a link to a clip from the Tom Leykis show. The post is now down which is too bad, but the clip was enlightening. The basic rundown is that a woman called in complaining about Leykis telling guys to basically be the asshole that women want. There was a long discussion where this woman tried to convince Leykis and the other male callers that they shouldn’t behave this way because she and her girlfriends would never accept that kind of behavior (and by extension no quality woman would). Her contention was that only the insecure girls fall for what’s basically ‘asshole’ game.
Leykis’ response to that? He told her he doesn’t care if they are insecure. That’s not his problem. All true. But here’s the rub in my mind. Saying that women who fall for asshole game must be insecure is accepting the feminist BS that all women are victims. The assumption is that a woman is not responsible for her actions. It’s assigning only one reason (to rule them all) why they succumb when there really are myriad reasons,. First and foremost, they fall for game because they are women. My point is either all women are insecure and/or they all fall for game. Those two things aren’t mutually exclusive.
It’s like saying that men who fall for women who show lots of skin, tits, ass, wear makeup, have long eyelashes, exhibit coy behavior, etc. only fall for that stuff because we’re slaves to our gonads. Don’t get me wrong, those things do work, but if we’re slaves to our gonads then guys would be banging any girl who crossed their path exhibiting those characteristics whether she’s an UB1 or an HB10.
Talleyrand had a conversation with a gal we know. I just sat back and watched. It went something like this,
Gal: That pick up stuff you do wouldn’t work on me. It only works on those bar sluts you date.
Talleyrand (bemused): Really? You ever been to a bar?
Gal: Yes.
Talleyrand: Then it works on you too.
Gal: No, I don’t go to bars to meet men. I am not a slut.
Al (speaks up, because I know quite a bit more of her sexual history): Let me ask you something. You went on what, 2 dates with Jeff before you slept with him? Then there’s Alan. You slept with him on the first date didn’t you? You don’t consider that slutty behavior?
Gal (angry): No! I can’t talk to you guys! (leaves)
Women don’t fall for game because they are insecure. They fall for it because they are women. Guys who understand game know this. It doesn’t matter to me how a woman rationalizes why she’s with me, what matters is that she IS with me…at least until I know it’s time to move on.
