1) Agamemnon gets murdered by his wife and her lover on the way home from the Trojan war. Lesson: There will always be a men out there trying to AMOG you. A woman will kill you rather than face the consequences of her bad actions.
2) The Lotus-Eaters sit around all day eating a narcotic plant that makes them feel good. Lesson: Drugs, Television, Videogames, will suck the life out of you.
3) Circe changes Odysseus’ men into animals and beasts of burden, but because Odysseus resists her magic, she falls in love with him. Circe is the original feminist. Her ultimate goal is to turn all men into subservient animals. The male that resists her, the male that is more dominate is the man she falls in loves with. Lesson: Be dominate. Lead. Otherwise the woman will treat you less than human.
4) The Sirens. So beautiful is their song that they drive men mad and lead them to wreck their ships upon the shores where they drown. Lesson: Ignore her beauty. Be steadfast, do not let her emotions and words (her song) lure you into your own destruction. Follow your path, and not hers.
5) All but Odysseus are killed for hunting down some sacred cattle. Lesson: Alphas can get away with things that Betas can not.
6) Calypso keeps Odysseus as her lover for seven years, even though he longs to be with his wife. Lesson: Women find a taken man more attractive and will try to steal him away.
7) Odysseus returns home after twenty years to find 108 boisterous young men around his wife, Penelope, hoping to persuade her to marry one of them. Penelope is the original Cougar and it is clear that she is the chooser in the mating game, and that she does not want from male attention. Odysseus kills all 108 suitors. Lessons: Don’t pedestal and don’t hover. If she rejects your advances, move on.
