I’ve played with it and I wish I could look at their data, but this article links to “bundle” which shows the spending habits of men and women. It shows that in general men spend more than women.
This flies in the face of the conventional wisdom of the mainstream that women make up 80% or more of all purchases and purchasing decisions. I would love to see how personal debt is allocated between the sexes and how it is compose: credit card, cars, homes. Same with savings.
Now I can’t find the fricking link, but there was also an article that showed that when men were the major breadwinner, the spending decisions tended to be more egalitarian, and when women were the major breadwinners they tend to assert the major decisions where finances were concerned.
Finally, there is talk that Hulu may start charging for content.
The tool thinks this is a good thing, like the NY times charging for online content.
Since they make plenty of money on advertisements, I hope these plans fail utterly.
