The “single” motherhood rate is not what it appears to be. It would be better to call it the rate of children in unmarried homes.
The reality is that the government provides more public assistance for the single mom than the unmarried mom with the baby daddy in the home.
So what happens?
They do what any other human being has done in these situations.
They lie.
There are plenty of single moms out there, but much less than the statistics claim.
I remember one divorced mom claiming to be a “single mom” and how hard it was.
Turned out that the kids were with the father 50% of the time.
It is just like the myth of the useless man. Women actively lie about what they do around the home to make themselves feel better. They lie about their notches and affairs, they lie about a lot of things.
Keep that in mind when looking at statistics involving women.
The first thing you have to ask is not if they are lying, but what they are lying about, if you were going to lie about this what would be the motivation (either up or down) and adjust accordingly.
Before rushing to rescue a woman, or biting off the tales she is spinning, remember this.
I’ve known guys that ended up in jail because they didn’t stop to question what the woman is telling them. If you ever act upon what a woman is telling you, you need to slow down, stop and think.
A better strategy is to not care and not act.
