OK this is a movie I think many if not most people have (or should have seen). Casablanca staring Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman.
Towards the climax of the movie, Bogart’s character Rick Blaine is approached by Victor Laszlo for his passes out of Casablanca. Rick won’t give them to Victor and tells Laszlo to ask his wife for the reason why. Laszlo plays the good beta and tells her that whatever she did doesn’t matter because he loves her. This causes Bergman’s Ilsa to run back to Blaine confessing her undying love for him.
