It is commonly believed that with the ending of bread and circuses there will be riots in the world. My title is a little deceptive, because I believe there will be some, but will they be huge?
Perhaps not.
At least not with the ending of government spending the way it was.
First, who riots?
Rarely if ever is it women.
Go look at the footage of most riots, especially bad ones and you see mostly men, especially when things get out of hand and it lasts for a while.
Second, and I was hoping to find the article Remasculation posted on who was affected by the government spending cuts, but he has ghosted.
You guessed it: women. 2/3 of the spending and 2/3 of the jobs go to women in government. They will be the ones hit hardest by the cuts.
Will the single moms bring down the house? I don’t think so
Will the elderly, another big beneficiary of the government, riot in the streets if their benefits are cut?
Doubtful.
Will the educated lead a rebellion? Again almost always it is men and they’re already fleeing the colleges.
You’re going to see more indirect violence. More small-scale crime, than actual riots, although there will be some.
