Evidently while I was turning over last night, our erstwhile HBD Warrior, OneSTDV was up and in a fit of intense literary focus; he says the following about moi:

Anyone who reads the comments section of this or any related blog is familiar with the most prolific Internet commenter alive, Obsidian. Obsidian considers himself a one-man wrecking crew against the supposedly pernicious racists of HBD and other race-conscious whites. In a strategy befitting this wily individual, Obsidian asks the same vacuous questions ad nauseam, then ignores subsequent answers, dismisses any reasonable rejoinders, and trolls every single HBD site with his “thoughts”. We get it: high intelligence whites are nerds and dangerous, black crime is inconsequential, HBD is furtive racism, we never give policy suggestions ( it’s not that complicated ), and “getting laid” is the preeminent value.

This blog’s readers have suggested I give Obsidian a forum to present his ideas. I ask that Obsidian provide (about 7-10) SUCCINCT questions in this post’s comment section. The blog’s commenters will then respond in full to each question. I will post Obsidian original questions, along with the best answers and possibly some of my additions. Obsidian is barred from posting in this comment thread after his initial comment.

After this, I will consider banning Obsidian for good if he continues to troll the comment section with off-topic blustering and dissimulation. So go ahead buddy, the floor is yours.

Well, I guess the old saying *is* true-that the pen-or in this case, the smartphone-is truly mightier, than the sword. And of course, who can turn a hyperbolic phrase better than Mr. OneSTDV? LOL.

What’s interesting-and ironic-about this whole thing, is that ONE Black guy can get these dudes all whipped up into a froth. How DARE he question us! Well fellas, YOU wanted HBD to “go mainstream”. I think its fair to say, that if a Brotha from the hood knows what the acronym “HBD” means, you’ve accomplished your goal. Congrats!

Of course the problem becomes, that once HBD goes beyond its comfortable confines of insider baseball speak and out into the wider world, folks are indeed gonna ask questions, starting with the very basic one: if HBD rests on immutable, hereditary racial differences, particularly those concerning intelligence-and if Blacks are the losers of that lottery-then doesn’t it almost invariably lead to racism, however well founded the science on the matter may be?

Of course, for OneSTDV and the HBDers, the answer is no-all we’re doing is presenting the cold, hard truth. Alright then-now what? For HBDers, the answer, though not codified as such, appears clear enough-Affirmative Action-and let’s be clear here-ONLY those kinds that specifically targets Blacks (Legacy admits, Women, etc, don’t count), is to end. Fullstop. Simply put, it is not our concern if Blacks can’t cut it. They’ve had their chance, and if being floor sweepers is their lot in life, them’s the breaks.

Next, their antisocial behaviors need to be addressed. Among these is out of control breeding. The government needs to bring sterilization programs targeted specifically at African Americans (and Hispanics) to lower their birthrate. (Of course, the fact that Smart White folks don’t have a lot of babies isn’t something they spend a heck of a lot of time thinking about and discussing, hmmm). The US Constitution here doesn’t really apply, because Hispanics aren’t citizens anyway, and it was never intended to apply to those of African descent. Additionally, prison sentences need to be lengthened even more, and de facto segregation brought back into the public square for those not locked up, for the good of the greater White society.

At this point, OneSTDV and others of his ilk will rail against what I’m saying as “trolling”, but I beg to differ-just take a keen look at the overall tone not just of his blog, but the whole of the socalled HBDsphere-Sailer, Half Sigma, Audacious Epigone, Inductivist, Planet Grok, and more. These Men, and the HBD community are largely made up of (White) Males-are quite clear on where they stand, they just don’t want to put it down on wax, so to speak. I suppose its a test of your white matter if you can connect the dots.

For the HBD crowd, their “bible” is a book called The Bell Curve, which was first published in 1994 and has since sold more than half a million copies. OneSTDV himself has referred to the work on quite a number of occasions.

What I find ironic about all this though, is that while OneSTDV talks a great deal about a merit-based society (and therefore, Affirmative Action directly violates such a bedrock principle of American Democracy), the publisher of The Bell Curve-Adam Bellow-would openly disagree with OneSTDV. Bellow, son of famed writer Saul Bellow, not only published The Bell Curve and several other highly controversial works, but is also the author of the book In Praise of Nepotism, and in it thoroughly debunks the idea that pure merit alone is the only thing that matters, or ever did. All of this makes perfect sense-The Bell Curve clearly makes the case for Hereditarianism, and so does Bellow in his own book.

Even more to the point, one of their most highly touted Black Conservatives-the esteemed economist (esteemed, that is, to White Conservatives) Thomas Sowell, disagreed with the basic premise of The Bell Curve. Look up the Wikipedia entry on the book, and you’ll see what Sowell has to say about it. Of course, Sowell continues to be a Black Conservative in good standing with his White peerage, and this includes the HBD set. Maybe it really is a big tent afterall.

I guess the thing for me about all this, once you boil it all down, is the overall tone and presentation of the HBD sector of the Internet-while these proponents attempt to cloak themselves in science and dispassionate facts, there is a very palpable undercurrent of anger and resentment-what some in the media have called the Angry White Male. And I think there’s a great deal of truth there, as recent news events have clearly shown us. Middle management type White guys, are really catching it these days, but not in the ways they would like to think. Its easier to whip up on Black and Brown folk, than Amy or Loren who may be their sisters, or the gals they’d like to get with. And its easier than actually grappling with the fact that it was largely White Males who nearly brought the global economy to its knees, and is either directly or indirectly responsible for the sorry state the Angry White Male is in, right now.

At any rate, I’ve written quite a bit about HBD here in this forum, and I suppose I’ll draw on that for the “questions” OneSTDV requests of me. But whatever happens-and that includes his putative ban of me, he needs to understand this:

You all wanted HBD to brought into the public square to be openly debated. My very presence in that conversation, means that you have succeeded.

Now you have to actually defend that which you have presented. And merely shutting down voices you don’t like, does nothing to help your cause. In fact, it actually harms it, a lot more than you will ever know.
