Apparently, cinema is beginning to catch on to the realities of hypergamy, and a recently-released film explores the effects of contemporary society’s promotion of women at the expense of men and family.
I haven’t seen Blue Valentine, so I’ll let Chateau and Steve Sailer speak for it. According to Chateau/Roissy, it’s a clear example of what happens when a man loses his Game, and according to Sailer “a craftily designed study of the big things that influence how families form and fall apart.”
Even if you don’t plan on watching the movie, the reviews are worth reading.
A review in the Village Voice suggests that the film has misogynistic elements, probably because it depicts how callous women can be toward husbands who no longer turn them on (in the feminist universe women only ditch their husbands because they’re abusive, horrible men).
