It’s never going to happen, so stop thinking that it will. Groups of men aren’t ever going to organize against women; because that’s how the MRA is perceived, no matter how you spin it. If you’re against feminism, you’re against women’s rights and if you’re against woman’s rights, you must be against women. How dare you?! This is how it was so brilliantly set up in the mass consciousness. Perception is reality.
But in case you haven’t noticed, there actually does seem to be a movement afoot and it’s being reflected in comments sections on internet news sites. Unfettered by MSM liberal doctrine, people are actively speaking out against feminist ideologies that, up until recently, have gone unchallenged in mainstream dialog. Feminism has over-played her hand causing a certain fatigue with the messaging among common folk. As much as we’ve struggled to “empower” women to be more like men, they’re still women. Everyone knows it and no one will say it. Feminism is a failure. Women don’t like it and men refuse to adapt to it; those who do end up in miserable denial.
Without censorship and with anonymity people are starting to speak their minds and the few feminists left can’t twiddle their digits fast enough to stop it. It’s an awakening and it’s spreading, in a way feminism originally did in popular women’s magazines and TV of the 70’s. Because you see a movement doesn’t have to be thousands of well funded activists with signs on the DC mall, broadcast on the nightly news. A movement is about a message that connects with people and spreads. And the Men’s Rights message is spreading quickly and globally thanks to the far and swift reach of the internet.
Women have made so called “progress”, but at the expense of men. And we’re starting to expose it and call them out on it. Every “news item” that revels in female victimhood as the by-line, is getting overwhelmed with facts, figures and links that dispute the propagandist “message” behind the story, from on-line “activist” commenter’s. Who are all those people doing that? They can’t all be us!
That’s why it’s important that we try and maintain a certain decorum when posting or commenting. First, you probably won’t make it past the news site comments moderators, and second consider the audience. It’s not feminists and mangina/white knights. It’s uninformed but yet curious passers-by, still very much under the influence of feminist cultural programming, but perhaps riding the fence. Yes, that means abiding by a certain level of political correctness. Use your words wisely, make sense, be reasonable and respectful. You want to be read and clearly understood, whether anyone agrees with you or not. Don’t respond to the petty ad hominem attacks by the fem squad inkind. Respond with facts people can relate to.
And for those on the fringe that use the cover of “freedom of speech” to say whatever they want to, I point to Dworkin, McKinnon and the other “rad-fems”, who’s tasteless quotes are used to this day to discredit and dismiss feminists as insane. Always consider the context of what you say and how you say it and above all who you’re saying it to. You’re representing a counter-movement of many that can be hindered by the words of one. Temper yourself. Keep it civil.
The Men’s Rights Movement is growing in popularity because the message is touching so many in a viral fashion. Just because it’s not on TV doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. Many like you and I, were once walking around thinking “WTF!” and had nowhere to express it. Those like us are growing “in numbers too big to ignore”. Feminism is finally registering on the collective bullshit meter and we need to help it along to peg the needle. Deprogramming society from 50 years of indoctrination into feminist dogma will take time, but at least now the shift seems to be gaining momentum.
