Next week, it will have been three years since The Spearhead published its first article. I’m kind of surprised it’s lasted that long, given what I’ve been dealing with in the meanwhile, but sometimes pressure gives you the extra boost needed to keep going.
I hope that’s true, because I’m going to need some support to keep the site online for the rest of the year (I don’t generally ask for donations unless I really need them). Fortunately, it is doing quite well in terms of traffic and reach, but given the controversial, political nature of the content advertising dollars are hard to come by, so I need your support to continue putting in the hours.
In the meanwhile, I’ll be working on the back end of the site to keep it tight and functional so that I can open it up to subscribers for its third birthday.
Some of the benefits that will be extended to subscribers include exclusive content, as well as the ability to post on a private bulletin board to give and receive feedback from me and others who write articles for the site. Those who have already helped support the site will, naturally, be automatically included as subscribers and have access to all content.
For now, I would appreciate any help in keeping the site (and me) above water. I appreciate all the help I’ve received so far — every dollar that has been donated has helped convince me to keep the site running. Furthermore, you are getting value for your money; The Spearhead runs on a very small budget compared to comparable websites, and a great deal of work goes into keeping the content flowing and the site online.
Thank you all in advance. Please send donations via PayPal (upper right sidebar) or, if you prefer to send checks or money orders, please send them to the following address:
