Jim Carrey’s “creepy” video message to Actress raises ire of feminized media

Having spent the past 20 years watching Actor/Comedian Jim Carrey’s funny antics on TV (“In Living Color”) as well as on film (“Dumb and Dumber”, “The Cable Guy” etc.) I just cannot take the man seriously at all. Arguably the most affable comedian of his time as well as over-acting extrovert, Mr. Carrey has made it to the top of his field and is one of those Hollywood cats who cannot go anywhere in the world without being recognized by a fan. Just the other day, Jim Carrey posted a video of himself professing adoration for young 22-year old Actress Emma Stone who is starring in the new film “The Help”. Being that he is a Comedian I can’t take seriously, my first impression of Jim’s video was as he says it is: a joke! But far be it for a joke by a man professing affectionate kudos to a sexy actress 26 years his junior to slip by the major media and feminist critics without a misandry-oriented slam!
“Creepy” is the term they use against Jim Carrey and his joke video aimed at a younger (but very much an adult) female actress because feminist critics and the liberal media in general eye unsolicited male affection toward women as “suspect” and would love to label it as a near-criminal act. And there lies the rub: the media and feminist critics want such behavior (even a joke) to be doused with gasoline every time it rears its head and therefore push friendly contact between men and women further apart. More especially so when a man addresses a woman without her solicitation for such attention thus making it politically-incorrect for a man (even a wealthy actor/comedian like Jim Carrey) to proposition or make intimate gestures to a woman unless she instigates it first!
The “shaming” in the articles about this “creepy video” Jim Carrey posted centers around the 26 year age difference between Jim and Emma and the “creepy” face-only video the comedian made (the media reporting this conveniently forgot that he is famous for his facial expressions and dark humor roles). Since when does anyone care about age difference as long as the two people are both consenting adults? Well it is convenient boogeyman-bullshit to throw at men in general with the famous Jim Carrey as the “creepy” example…telling the public that unsolicited kudos from a man to a woman is bad ju-ju even for someone on a Hollywood pedestal.
Now if Miss Stone had done the same video at Jim Carrey (or even Ernest Borgnine for that matter) it would not have made the news like this and been just another funny YouTube celebrity video watched by her fans nor would anyone be shamed over the “age difference” if the woman initiated the contact rather than the man. Will we see a day when even “Captain Awesome” is censured and defamed for making a pass at a woman who wants him to? Well if the millionaire Hollywood boys don’t get a pass……
