In this day and age, young males are blessed with a mind-boggling selection of entertainment. The past afforded little time for pursuits outside work, the main purpose being mainly survival: putting food on the table.
A unique bond exists between a man and his work. Labour has a special place in his psyche, because it unites different parts of his personality in order to achieve a singular goal. (look up flow and maslow’s hierarchy). A sense of camaraderie and achievement is important to mind, body, and soul.
It is known that a few industries survive and thrive in economic droughts. The entertainment industry being one of them. This piece will focus on video-games. It is a unique industry to say the least. The lion’s share of consumers being young-males in their teens, to players up to 30 years old and beyond. Unlike movies, it is a male majority market. This has always been the case, and will remain that way for some time.
Stepping outside the borders of the pop-culture wasteland, entertainment can be seen in two ways. 1) A yardstick to the economy and individual vs. aggregate choices of how people spend their time and money. 2) A revealing look into the zeitgeist and underlying social nuances. Both have something to say about us individually, and as a group.
Society is undergoing increasing feminisation and obvious misandry. This snowballing trend has been going on strong, with little sign of slowing down. Video games provide the primary form of escapism for men today. These games champion the male spirit in ways that the modern real world can’t compete with. Although the categories differ, all games center on themes of violence, conquest, discovery, exploration, and achievement. Is it any wonder the industry is doing so well? In this digital world men are respected, they are rewarded, and above all: they are given a chance.
In the context of the MRM, there are two specific points to make about videogames: one subtle, the other obvious.
We can see the destruction wrought all around us in different forms. As such, young men have always occupied a high position on the feminazi hit list. The timeline of videogames shows just how much progress they made over the last decade. In reaction to the new feminized society, a digital world exists which young men call their own. But everything has a cost. Faint-hearted and deprived, young men overcompensate, and foster unrealistic fantasy caricatures of men and manliness. Over the years games have changed. Not that long ago, an explosion of WW2 games flooded the market. This offered men a glimpse to an age of bravery, fidelity, and no women. Crime-themed games were major sellers and recently have enjoyed a renaissance of sorts. The industry is now dominated by first-person shooters, most of them with grand and (sometimes grossly) unrealistic depictions of war. A casual trip to your local video game retailer will confirm this. As society became more and more feminised, men were forced deeper and deeper into the fantasy escapism of games. Real world camaraderie and accomplishment are replaced with bland substitutes. Meanwhile your connection to the real world is being severed day-in-and-day-out. The sheer repetitiveness of these games erodes your mind.
Despite this fact, the quality of the games is only part of the story (one can argue that the increase in computing power allowed for this, but I digress). Young men are consuming more and more time playing them. The same men who hold the destiny of the nation’s future in their hands now hold wireless controllers instead.
Those who hear this may object by saying that it’s just a natural response of a generation shunned by the economy and marginalized by the society at large. MGTOW, and proud of it.
However, take a step back for a moment. Even those who disagree with everything written here must admit a problem exists. How much precious time is wasted by the youth of our nation? How much mental and emotional energy is put into these binary-code illusions? How much money is given to those with no interest in our cause, profiting off of our demise? Men are going their own way, but it’s the wrong way.
To the prime-aged and younger men reading this, now is the chance to rekindle the fires that have been left smoldering. Learn a skill, take up a new language, start a business, and above all: DO IT NOW!
I have no interest in seeing Rome burn while Nero fiddles. Nor do I want to run from responsibility and die tired. Young men today will be left holding the check whether they want to or not. I want to deny the feminists their Grand prize: an entire generation of docile, mouth-breathing beta wimps.
What did I do, you ask? I didn’t spend another 5 hours of my life frying my retinas respawning in some F.P.S. I wrote an article for a Men’s rights site, and got it published.
