We all know how this has been portrayed in the media. Poor, innocent lil Jenn is minding her own business when big bad Brett randomly sends her pictures of his penis. Lil Jen is so damaged she needs to seek legal help to reconcile it in her mind.
Yeah. Right.
Now I’m not saying Brett didn’t send the pics. Even though the evidence hasn’t been fully disclosed, I would not be surprised if he did it. But can you really judge him? We all know that pictures of private parts from BOTH sexes travel through the netherworld of cellphone-space every night, and sometimes even during the day (who has time to wait?). Also, take a look at Brett Favre. Not a bad looking guy, one of the greatest QBs of all time, rich…quite a catch for any woman, to be sure. That being said, you cannot expect me to believe that a guy who could have almost any woman he wanted sent pictures of his penis to a girl that was not interested in him. Think about it…how did he get her phone number in the first place? There HAD to be something going on. I just can’t see any man short of a loony-bin patient sending pics of his dick to a girl unless he had a previous relationship with her or she expressed some convincing level of interest in him. Here’s what I think happened:
Brett joins the Jets. He sees Jenn on the field, thinks she’s hot, and at some point strikes up a conversation with her. The two hit it off, he gets her number, and either they secretly start seeing each other or they start talking about being involved. When the conversations start getting dirty, he sends pics of his penis to her either upon request or not. After he leaves the Jets, he stops calling her or breaks it off. Jenn, the beautiful woman she is, is not used to rejection, and gets angry. After considering how she can get back at him, she remembers having the pics and decides to press sexual harassment charges. Thus, Brett finds himself in his current situation.
If I am right, and I am pretty sure that is what happened, could you really hold it against Brett? We guys know what happens when all the blood leaves our brains and heads south of the border. He was horny, could not use proper judgment, one thing led to another, and he made a big mistake. Well…I’d say the biggest mistake he made was trusting Jenn. You don’t shit where you eat, but regardless of that axiom, it happens more often than you think. Some guys are just lucky enough to get away with it.
