There are 3 main ideologies in the “enlightened” manosphere:
- TRADITIONALISM (traditional sex roles, family, theory of
gender relations) - EQUALISM (MRA, masculism, equality politics, theory of equality)
- INDIVIDUALISM (MGTOW, PUA, nihilism, hedonism)

All main ideologies in the manosphere have something in common with
feminism. Traditionalists share the idea of protecting and providing
for women. Equalists share the idea of equality politics and the
theory of equality. Individualists celebrate freedom from the male sex
role and freedom of female sexuality.
The main ideologies in the manosphere share more or less the same
analysis of feminism and feminisms effects on the society.
Analysis of feminism in a nutshell
Feminism is a movement with the aim to give more power (and options)
to women and reduce the power (and the options) of men. Feminism
creates a state that operates as a substitute husband, distributing
wealth from men to women with the goal of reducing women’s dependency
on men.
Feminism creates laws that make a marriage a bad deal for men and
laws, where nearly everything could be interpreted as sexual
harassment.
The product of feminism is a matriarchy, where children are raised by
women while men are marginalized.
Gradually men lose their motivation to contribute for the sake of the
society.
In the end, the whole society is in the danger of collapse.
Traditionalists
Traditionalism is an ideology of “how gender relations in the society
should be arranged”. Their answer lies in the traditional sex roles
with traditional family values.
Main subcategories of traditionalism are the moral traditionalists and
evolutionary biological traditionalists. Moral traditionalists
highlight the wisdom of the past generations. Evolutionary biological
traditionalists say that men and women are biologically different. It
does no good to fight against biology.
Society can’t survive without noticing the importance of family and
fathers. Feminism is an utopian ideology, which leads eventually to
catastrophe by destroying families and men’s motivation.
Traditionalists think that the equalist men’s movement is (of course)
right in pinpointing the fallacies of feminist equality politics.
However, the equalist men’s movement doesn’t have solution to the
problem of sustainable society.
While traditionalists agree that equal male reproductive rights,
female conscription etc. are perfectly understandable demands from the
point of equality, the equality of outcome itself is a ridiculous
goal. If men’s equality will become true some day, society might be
even sillier place than today’s feminist state.
Traditionalist understands the thinking behind the MGTOW and PUA
ideologies, but in the end they present a nihilist and hedonistic
choice by abandoning any hope for the successful society.
Traditionalist might ask the critical question: will the MGTOW and PUA
men ever be as happy as man in a traditional marriage? Self centered
nihilism is not a way for a long lasting happiness.
So, any hope for the society to survive lies in the traditionalist
ideology.
Equalists
Equalism in the MRM is an ideology of “what equality is and what
equality politics should be”.
Equalists often agree in some degree with traditionalist analysis of
sustainable society. However, we live in the real world, where
feminism has won every battle with traditionalists since the 60′s.
Traditionalists are so badly beaten that a person with conservative
values is often ridiculed.
The truth is that we have equality politics and it is going to stay
that way for a long time. Either we let feminists run their equality show and
continue their one-sided propaganda or we fight back by telling the
male side of the truth of equality.
The traditionalist argument might be true: total equality of outcome
might be silly and an unsustainable utopia. But we have gender equality
politics and we want equality for men too, no matter how silly it might
sound.
Feminists spread false theories of equality and patriarchy. Should we
just be silent when we know the truth? Hell no!
We don’t claim to know the answer for sustainable and reachable
society, but we know for sure what equality should be for men too and
we say it loud and clear.
And there is one other big problem with traditionalists. A large number of
traditionalists are irritating “man up” white knights, who set up
different standards for men than for women. We don’t want to support any
part of white knight traditionalists, because it advances indirectly
female victimization and male demonization.
Individualists
Individualism is an opportunistic ideology to”benefit individually
from the liberal loopholes of feminism”.
Life is short and you should make most of it! You should prioritize
your own pleasures, not what the state or women want you to do.
Enjoy the liberal ideas of feminism. Feminism supports your freedom
from male sex role demands. And of course: feminism has freed
womens sexuality for your benefit. Nowhere in human history has
the average man had so many opportunities to get lucky!
Feminists have erased traditional morals. You are not expected to
provide and protect. Exploit unintended consequences of feminism.
Traditionalist may have a point when they say that “the way to long
term happiness is in the traditional marriage”. However, marriage as a
way to happiness has become too risky. And worse, there are no
traditional women left for the “good old” marriage. Instead we have
fat masculine sluts, who divorce you for your last penny.
The equalist men’s movement are (of course) right in their equality
arguments, but there is probably no hope to get real traction for the
men’s movement. Equalists have no powerful allies: they are against the
coalition of conservatives and feminists. It’s a battle that can’t be
won.
If I don’t have anything useful to do in the evenings, I might write a
line or two about men’s rights, but I don’t want to be too involved
with the hopeless task of advancing men’s issues.
Equalism might be a fun hobby to troll feminists, but it shouldn’t be
taken too seriously.
Where I stand
At my younger years I was a wannabe-nerd-PUA, nowdays I am masculinist
and half-MGTOW in a relationship.
The equalist and individualist ideologies are easily combinable. In my
public speach I am an equalist, but in in my personal life I am a
half-MGTOW.
My recommendation for my fellow men is the combined
equality/PUA/MGTOW-ideology.
I might consider becoming a traditionalist some day: just give me the
traditional woman and male friendly legistlation first.
