In Seattle, where Obama has been tirelessly campaigning for Democrat Patty Murray, who faces a tough challenge in the usually blue state of Washington, the President has been exhorting women to turn out to vote ensure that his faithful “mom in tennis shoes” senator is reelected.
Touting the beneficial effects of the mancession, Obama pointed out that more women now have jobs than men, and that his administration has worked hard to ensure that women receive all the federal assistance he can provide.
Additionally, he proclaimed that the predominance of women in the workforce now means that women’s issues (i.e. feminism) are middle class issues. Men’s issues were never mentioned.
Apparently, the last Democrats who stood up for working men are dead or senile. Republicans, who haven’t stood up for working men since the 1850s, when they campaigned with the slogan “free labor [i.e. not slave labor], free land, free men,” are also avoiding any mention of men’s issues.
